Hello everyone! We're so happy to finally unveil Virtue and a Sledgehammer, a narrative exploration game in which you go back to your hometown and tear it down with a hammer, because... well, you'll find out. This is our most ambitious project to date, and sort of marks the full maturation of the joint venture we've been exploring together at Deconstructeam and Selkie Harbour. We've been collaborating since 2022, created many small games, and in April 2025, released our first commercial project, Many Nights a Whisper, a meditative third-person archery game, to critical acclaim! Virtue and a Sledgehammer is heavy in both the narrative and the hammer action. After adding the extra chapter in the Gods Will Be Watching Free DLC, some users with old graphic cards experienced problems with Windows and DirectX loading the game: A long black screen and then the game shuts down. We've been working on an optimization patch to solve this and now, if you had this issue, updating the game should get rid of this ugly problem.
