- The spiritual successor to False Dream has been released. - 26 August 2024
I have released "False Mall," the spiritual successor to "False Dream," today! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3095550/ The system from "False Dream," where you capture anomalies with a camera, has been carried over. This time, it's a game where you escape from a building resembling a shopping mall in a regional city. I put a lot of effort into creating the atmosphere of a shopping mall. If you enjoyed "False Dream," please be sure to check it out.
- Nintendo Switch was released! (US and Japan) - 19 April 2024
Yesterday, the Nintendo Switch version was released! (Please note that it's available only in Japan and the United States. I apologize to those in other regions.) https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/false-dream-switch/ For those who had trouble running the PC version or simply want to enjoy the game more casually, try playing it on your Nintendo Switch. The content is the same as the final version on Steam. Enjoy!
- Final adjustments (v1.10.1) - 23 February 2024
I have made final adjustments: - Fine-tuned the collision size of interactive objects. - Adjusted the collision size of the target for capturing. - Improved the visibility of the clock face for better readability at lower screen resolutions. - Corrected the duplication of names of anomalies. - Improved the visibility of the square and checkmark icons on the camera UI. This update marks the final update for FalseDream. I hope to create more finding anomaly games like this in the future. Thank you for playing FalseDream!
- Update v1.10.0 - 19 February 2024
- Added a feature to reset the save data. - Title menu -> Settings -> General tab -> Reset Save Data - Bug fixes: - Fixed a bug where, after completing all anomalies, enabling the "Disable captured (on title menu)" option could result in the anomalies being captured in the same session. - Review of anomaly names. - Updated images for each button and key in the button guide. - Display text for some interactable objects. - Modified the effects of anomalies with closets (since most players did not notice). - Button reassignment: Assigned "crouch" to the RT button. - Background art updates: - Added handles to sliding windows. - Added handrail to the balcony.
- Minor Changes (v1.9.1) - 16 February 2024
- Review of light settings (smooth shadows). - Settings UI: - Fixed a bug where toggle button settings were automatically reset to default values. - Changed the position of the "Back" button. - When the language setting is English, change the title logo to the English version. - Fixed models of some anomalies.
- Gamepad Support (v1.9.0) - 15 February 2024
I have updated to v1.9.0. With this update, I have added support for UI navigation using a gamepad, allowing players to control the entire game using only the gamepad. Changes - Changed the aiming camera action to a hold-style from a toggle-style. This is now similar to the aiming action in typical FPS games. You can revert to the original toggle-style in the settings menu. - Significantly revised the button mapping for the gamepad. - UI - Modified the UI for gamepad navigation. - Added sound effects to the UI. - Introduced guide buttons for actions on necessary screens.
- Minor Changes (v1.8.4) - 11 February 2024
- Add an explanation to the "Resume" option in the title menu. - Correct the translation error (replace "Revert" with "Resume").
- Minor Changes (v1.8.3) - 11 February 2024
- Correct the orientation of the hangers. - Fine-tune the size of the bathtub. - Revise the images for the operation instructions. - Clarify that "Interact" and "Capture with camera" are separate actions. - Gamepad Controls - Fixed the issue where "Crouch" cannot be performed with the button on certain gamepads. - Add "Turn around" (gamepad only). Achievable by pressing the right stick. About Control Devices This game does not have full compatibility with gamepads. (Hence, "Full Controller Support" is not indicated on the store page.) Especially in the menu screen, some operations may not be possible with a gamepad. For an optimal gaming experience, I recommend using a keyboard and mouse.
- Minor Changes (v1.8.2) - 6 February 2024
- Added a motion blur intensity setting to the configuration screen. Setting the intensity to 0 may alleviate 3D motion sickness. - Fixed a bug where the picture disappears when the player comes into contact with it. - Reordered the staff roll credits. - Improved the anomaly where the water surface now ripples slightly.

Choosing this allows you to continue the game from where you left off. - Removed the protagonist's monologue in the prologue and replaced it with a display of tasks. The modification aims to prevent the monologue from interfering with the player's immersion in the game. - Anomalies' Names - Rename from "Cue" to "Cue-chan." This is to prevent mistakes caused by forgetting to shoot. - Significantly reduced the volume of washing machine and refrigerator sounds (because they were annoying). - Changed the sound effects for capturing and undoing anomalies to make it clearer whether the capture was successful. - Lightened the smoothing of viewpoint rotation for brisk movement, adjusting to potentially reduce the risk of 3D motion sickness. - Enabled running even when the camera is raised to eliminate unnecessary realism. - Icon modifications - Checkmark indicating captured - Fac…
