- Small Fixes - 19 September 2026
This small hotfix includes the following changes: Reworked the anomaly spawning logic. The game now prioritizes spawning anomalies that you haven't found yet. The anomaly list is built directly from the achievement data in your Steam profile. For example, let's say there are 15 anomalies in total. You find 11 of them during a run and beat the game. If you want to go back to find the remaining anomalies and unlock the missing achievements, the next time you load the level, the game will only spawn those 4 remaining anomalies. Once you've found all 15 anomalies and unlocked all achievements for the level, the game will go back to spawning them randomly from the full list of 15. Added a visual darkness effect for the DARKNESS anomaly. This anomaly is perfectly visible with Lumen GI enabled, but it was quite difficult to spot on the lowest graphics settings. There should be no more issues w…
- Game Improvements #4 - 2 September 2026
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! Although this is a pretty small update, it has (seemingly, lol) resolved the biggest issue, the cause of which I couldn't find or understand for over a year. Everything should work correctly now. This update includes the following changes: Finally found and fixed the root cause of the issue with the final achievement. Laugh if you want, but I seriously couldn't understand for over a year why the SHARP VISION #1 achievement wasn't unlocking for some players. I was never able to replicate this bug on either of my two computers. But I finally figured it out, f*ck. The game now features a deeper integration with the Steam platform. All necessary data is pulled directly from the player's profile to verify exactly what's needed. This check runs 5 seconds after earning each individual achievement, as well as every time you launch the game or return to the main menu. So,…
- Bonus Game Mode! - 31 August 2026
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! I'm incredibly excited to present the major content update I previewed in my recent posts! Now, some of you might be thinking, "Bro, are you okay? Have you even looked at the calendar?" And yeah, fair enough—since it's September 1st, it probably would have made a lot more sense to release some school-themed DLC or a game called "My Last Bell", lol. You know, where instead of a hospital corridor, you'd wander through empty school hallways running away from a creepy teacher, heh. But! A player named PIRANHA really wanted and asked me to try adding a bit of Christmas spirit to the game. Just something to bring a little joy, help people look back on the holidays, remember their childhood, and think of something warm and good. It was also crucial to roll this update out right now, rather than waiting three months. I can't give you a specific reason for the rush; let's…
- Game Improvements #3 - 25 August 2026
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! Here is the third batch of game improvements. The next update will feature a ton of new content and will be released in the coming weeks. This update includes the following changes: Added Polish localization. This applies to both the user interface and all in-game textures. Thanks to some "Slavic magic," this is probably the closest translation to the original text yet. However, since I am not a native Polish speaker, rare (and completely unintentional!) translation typos might still pop up. Feel free to report them, and I’ll be happy to fix them. Added an option to choose the language for in-game textures. You can now separately configure the interface language and the texture language. Reworked achievement descriptions. Since this is a game about attentiveness—and that’s where the whole challenge lies—the new descriptions feel much more accurate and authentic.…
- Game Improvements #2 - 21 August 2026
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! Here is the second batch of game improvements that I didn't manage to finish in time for yesterday's update. Thanks for the feedback! This update includes the following changes: All in-game textures have been translated into Japanese. In one of the older updates, I adapted all the textures into English. Part of the original meaning behind those "madman's notes" was successfully captured, while some parts weren't. It’s way harder with Japanese, since it’s a completely different world with its own distinct culture and unique language that is nothing like Cyrillic or Latin script. But I hope that part of the intended meaning was successfully adapted and conveyed. All of those A4 sheets kept their exaggerated bureaucratic ugliness: crooked formatting, stupid requirements, and the distinct feeling that they were typed up by hypothetical employees who couldn't care les…
- Game Improvements - 20 August 2026
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! As I mentioned in the last update, changing the pricing model wasn't the end of the story. So, I’m happy to present an update featuring a series of game improvements. This update includes the following changes: Reworked anomaly spawn logic. Until today, this system was as simple as it gets—a flat 50% chance. Either it spawns, or it doesn't. Plus, other copies of the level were interfering, which could also lower the anomaly spawn rate on your current level. I completely rewrote this logic. Now, the base spawn chance is 50%, and if the roll fails, an extra 15% is added to the chance on the next turn. This loops until an anomaly finally shows up. Added DLSS support. I should have added this a long time ago, along with a bunch of other things. But it is what it is. Better late than never. I’ve only tested it on my own PC, and the performance boost is around 75% to 1…
- Attention! The Game Is Going Free! - 10 August 2026
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! I think the title pretty much speaks for itself. If you bought this game within the last two weeks and have played it for less than two hours, you can go ahead and request a refund if you'd like. If you were planning to check it out in the near future — don't spend your money. Just wait until it becomes free. Also, the game has been removed from all bundles it was part of. There's no special reason behind this decision to make the game free for everyone, and there's no profit angle either. As the creator, I just felt like doing it, plain and simple. It's already been two whole years since the game came out. I think most folks who wanted to play have already done so a long time ago. Everyone else has probably long forgotten it even exists. And as for the rare future players — hey, let them just jump in for free, no strings attached. To all of you who picked up the…
- New Achievements - 21 October 2025
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! This update includes the following changes: 23 new Achievements have been added to the game. All of them are related to finding anomalies and key items, so there's nothing overly complicated about obtaining them. Ideally, all can be unlocked during a playthrough. You might need to play through the game 2-3 times (if you don't resort to tricks like intentionally resetting the door counter). The logic for checking and unlocking Achievements in Steam has been changed. Previously, the SHARP VISION achievement was checked and awarded in the main menu, for example, after exiting to the main menu. Now, this and all other new Achievements should be applied immediately during gameplay. Several minor bugs have been fixed. Best Regards, Ells&Pills
- Big Refresh - 20 October 2025
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! After wrapping up a ton of updates for our latest game, Ells Tales: Chairbound, we decided it's time to give some love to our older titles by releasing updates with small improvements and fixes. And it doesn't matter how successful any particular game turned out to be. After all, these are all our games, and each one has taught us something new and helped us grow. That's why we intentionally make all our games as diverse as possible, with different features. So far, from our most successful and fun game ideas, we've managed to create two games - Ells Tales: Egg and Ells Tales: Chairbound. Can we call My Last Appointment a successful and fun game? No, alas, it turned out to be quite boring and niche, that's the truth. On paper, it all seemed more fun, and the 5th version of the Unreal Engine also didn't appeal to us. And that's why this is the only game on Unreal…
- Important News! - 15 September 2025
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! It’s time for another round of discounts, but that’s not the main thing. Today, we want to share with you information about an interesting indie horror game being created by our friend from Ukraine. This is his debut game — he’s working on it solo under very difficult life circumstances. So, we would really appreciate it if you could visit the game’s Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3405860/Lurking_Within/ If the game catches your attention, please add it to your Wishlist! Today, this means a lot and is especially valuable for the creator. Best Regards, Ells&Pills.

Hi there! After almost a year, we’re excited to announce the upcoming release of the new game Ells Tales, returning to the roots of the series! Control the movement and rotation of the chair using physics, but be careful not to tip over, and find your way to escape before time runs out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wZ11Xy7Zhc Add the game to your wishlist so you don’t miss the upcoming release: store.steampowered.com/app/3281410/Ells_Tales_Chairbound Wishing you a great summer! - A prequel? Are you serious? - 15 October 2024
Hi, it's Ells&Pills! We would like to share with you the news that we have recently released a side, as it might seem from the outside, and quite controversial project - Pigeon Hater. The game is designed for a slightly different audience with its own gaming interests, it is no longer a horror for attention. But! Given the absurdity of what's happening on screen and the gameplay, Pigeon Hater could be a real psychological horror for some players who just don't accept this kind of “specific experience” and this kind of humor. Plus, this game is from our series of wacky games, it has its own special place in this mad universe. In addition to being a sort of prologue to the main Ells Tales series overall, it's also a prequel to My Last Appointment. Unusual, sick, as it should be! XD That's why we want to inform you that if you have previously purchased My Last Appointment, you have the opp…
- Small hotfix. - 3 August 2024
The first time you run the game after the update, the game settings will be reset. This is a necessary measure due to a change in the save file, sorry :( List of changes: Fixed the appearance of anomalies in the final part of the game. Added mouse sensitivity adjustment. Fixed several visual bugs.
- The game is available! - 2 August 2024
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! We are very excited that today was the long-awaited release of our third game! Unlike the previous two games, this game has a different visual style and its events take place in a different environment. But like the previous games, this is also a small horror game that will test your attention to details! Important clarification: there are no text-related puzzles in the game. We wanted the game to be accessible to players from all over the world. Therefore, every player, no matter where they are from, should be able to get through the game without feeling the weight of the language barrier. Also, with the release of this game, we've added it to our bundle. So in addition to the release celebration discount, the game will also receive an additional 10% discount as part of the bundle. Thank you all for your support, stay tuned! Lots of fun ahead! ^_^ Oh, and yes..…
- Release is just around the corner! - 21 July 2024
Hi, Ells&Pills is here! Initially we expected to release the game in the spring of this year, in March or April. But some problems arose, so the release had to be postponed. And thus, the game is no longer the first in our game series, but the third! The game will be released on August 2. We would also like to tell you a little about the technical side of the game. Initially we had an idea to try to create the game with Unreal Engine 5 using the new dynamic lighting system Lumen. This is a great technology, although it raises the bar of minimum system requirements. There will be three graphics presets in the game: Off (potato-mode). The picture will be so-so, but the game should run well in 1920x1080p resolution on almost any graphics card, starting with GTX 1050ti. Low. This preset is suitable for playing at 1920x1080p resolution on graphics cards starting from GTX 1660 Ti/Super. High.…
- Announcement of the game! - 26 January 2024
We are happy to announce the page of our game! Its a short walking simulator inspired by liminal spaces, internet memes about backrooms, and the aesthetics of the unpleasant corridors of post-Soviet medical facilities. This game will test your attention to detail, as well as delight you with various pranks and creepy moments.
