- Patch notes 09 May - 9 May 2026
I've been working on fixing some bugs and adding some QoL improvements. Thank you so much for playing the game and i hope you keep enjoying it! Bug Fixing Fixed a dead zone input bug while using joystick that allowed the player to constantly move even without touching the joystick in some cases. Fixed a bug where you could go to a hidden room using the stairs while a combat was happening (Purple Chest Room). QoL and Changes Added new item drops to some loot tables. (Cards can drop now from the fireplace, hidden shop and basic enemies with a low drop). If you open an elemental sphere and you already have all the same element upgrades, then the sphere will convert into an upgrade sphere allowing to upgrade 3 random abilities instead. - Crafting Eko : Embracing Unpredictability, Exploring and Fluid Combat. - 17 March 2025
Hey everyone! As we continue developing Eko and the Bewitched Lands, I wanted to share what I love about the games that have inspired us: Hades, The Binding of Isaac, and Tunic. These titles have profoundly influenced our design philosophy, and here's why: Unpredictability: Every Run Feels Fresh One of the most thrilling aspects of these games is their unpredictability. Each playthrough offers a unique experience, with the potential for an amazing run always on the horizon. This randomness keeps the gameplay exciting and encourages replayability. Fluid Combat: Engaging and Responsive Battles Combat in these games is anything but clunky. The controls are responsive, and the action is fluid, making every encounter compelling. When you take a hit, it feels like a personal mistake rather than a flaw in the game design, emphasizing skillful play. Discovery of Secrets: Uncovering Hidden Tre…
- Drawing Inspiration: The Games Behind Eko and the Bewitched Lands - 9 March 2025
Hey everyone! As we're developing Eko and the Bewitched Lands, we wanted to share the games that have inspired us along the way. Our journey has been shaped by titles like Hades, The Binding of Isaac, and Tunic. Here's how these games have influenced our work: Hades: Crafting Rewarding Progression Hades impressed us with its dynamic combat and rewarding progression systems. We've aimed to incorporate that sense of continuous growth and excitement into Eko and the Bewitched Lands, ensuring that each run offers new challenges and rewards. The Binding of Isaac: Embracing Procedural Exploration The unpredictable nature of The Binding of Isaac's procedurally generated maps has deeply influenced our approach to exploration. In our game, we've implemented similar procedural generation techniques to keep each adventure fresh and engaging. Tunic: Crafting Visuals and Atmosphere The enchanting vi…
