• Spooky season is coming! - 18 October 2024

  Spooky season is coming, so we've got something special for our horror fans. Here's a little sneak peek of our new environment with some pumpkins around. It's still pretty much in developement, and you can see placeholder assets on the screenshot, but we feel confident enough to share it with you guys! In Poland, we don't celebrate Halloween but we're doing All Saints' Day, where families gather at the cementary to visit their deceased family members to light them a candle and bring flowers. We hope that next year at this time in 2025 we will be here celebrating the release of our game.

• Devlog Update 🎃 #1 - 8 October 2024

  Hello Everyone! We wanted to keep you guys updated about a work that we're doing, and what we already have done. It was very busy time during our work, so we got a little bit distracted by that. But we managed to do some things. Environment of our game is mostly done, when it comes to nature, we still have few things to figure out, like realistic looking garden of our neighbours and our character. Also the construction site nearby needs a little bit of assets and polishing. Our friend made us some concept arts of the house and it's interior. Made some pinterests boards of it, and.... we're half-way of making it! House where the action is gonna take is gonna take longer than we expected because we decided to dig really deep when it comes to research. • Major changes in our game - 13 August 2024

  Hello! We're happy to announce, that we'll be kind of re-visioning our project! We struggled a bit, with lack of character in our environment. We discussed many options of how we could improve it but we could'nt find anything satisfying to how to fix it. So what we decided to completely trash our environment, and re-do it from scratch, but this time with better Idea. Our environment lacked character and you may even say, it lacked soul. We repainted our idea for this game, instead of it being *somewhere*, we decided that our game will be placed in Poland in small village. We don't want to spoil any details yet, but we want to focus on our closest cultural inspirations. We want to tell you the story we created in the setting closest to our hearts, so you can experience it and believe it trully. We think it's a very good decision and it will change your gaming experience drastically.

  Attention, brave souls and horror fanatics! We're happy to announce our project! As horror games fans, we were tired of this whole jumpscare trend in horror games, so we decided to create our own title which will scare the player without using cheap tricks. We got directly inspired for this when we went to the cinema together to watch a horror movie without any jumpscares. A few days later, we had this idea - what if we made a horror game like that? And exactly 10 months later we're launching this Steam page of our game. Our main focus and objective while creating Chronicles of Fear is making a believable setup, using rather real-life stories than horror manuals to build a plot, and creating an interactive environment full of hidden details for the players to find.
