  We are finally releasing our first update for KILLBEAT!Weekly runsDo you want to compete against others but the rng makes it unfair? We added weekly runs where the generated levels, monsters and loots are same for everyone. The contents of the run change every week and a new leaderboard is generated at the same time.Saving the runDo you have to take a break in middle of your play session? No worries, now you can continue your run if you exit the game before ending your run!CodexYou can now find explanations for some mechanics that might be confusing especially for newer players.Fixed also various bugs including a nasty memory leak issue that could cause crashing on longer sessions.Happy shooting!

• Doubled Passive Items! (well, almost) - 13 August 2024

  The patch adds 32 new passive items with awesome synergies, almost doubling the item pool! Find your own favorite combos and builds! Auto Stun: When hit if you have a stun automatically use it instead of taking damage. Execution Inspiration: Gain a Freestyle charge on Finisher. Freestyle Rehash: 33% chance to not consume a Freestyle charge. Ricocheting Rounds: 10% on hit to richochet the bullet to a random nearby target. Holster Charger: Every 5 shots with the same weapon charge the next shot of your holstered weapons, dealing 200% more damage and using no ammo. Corrosive Clip: Reloading an empty weapon throws the clip at a nearby enemy and applies two stacks of Corrosion to it. Reflecting Dash: Reflect enemy projectiles hit by your dash back to the direction they came from. High Value Returns: Upon entering a new Depth, gain additional Tickets equal to 20% of your current Tickets. Pain…

• Leaderboards and Other Improvements - 30 July 2024

  Added in-game leaderboards. Adjusted internal wall visuals and x-ray effect to make walls more readable. Missing the beat when reloading was punished by long reload time. It disrupted the gameplay flow so we changed that mechanic: Reloading happens now always instantly even when reloading offbeat. When reloading to the beat, you will get special ammo that deals double damage. All weapon damages are adjusted to this change, so when playing to the beat, the balancing stays the same. Fixed a bug that caused players to get stuck on level 3. Fixed various smaller issues. Created a new Steam demo page for KILLBEAT - Players can review the demo!

• 'Beat the Boss' competition - 21 July 2024

  The ‘Beat the Boss’ competition is an event on August 4th, 2024, where participants compete against the CEO of Kalma Games, Atte-Petteri Ronkanen. Participants will have 24h to set their highest score with unlimited tries. After the competition, Atte will livestream his one and only try to set his score. Everyone who gets a higher score than Atte is a winner! The competition will use the Hard Mode difficulty, and will be pre-seeded, meaning that the run is identical for everyone. Only skill matters! Prize: Steam key for the full game. Play the Demo Additionally: All registered participants who didn't win are automatically entered into a raffle for 10 participation prize keys! • KILLBEAT demo OUT NOW - 21 July 2024

  KILLBEAT demo is out now, and we couldn’t be more happy about it! The demo contains the first biome of the game, called “Fallen Forest”, and showcases the core mechanics of the game. The full release will have a total of five biomes, the derelict amusement park HUB, lots and lots of items, and branching storylines to make each run play different. Furthermore, you will be able to kill to your own beat with the custom music feature!
