- “NONAME” is back on the Godot engine. - 5 May 2025
We spent four months transitioning NONAME from Unity to the Godot engine, writing optimal code and thinking a lot about the direction of the game. We realized that the game had a high barrier to entry for newcomers, so we planned to utilize a story mode to mitigate this and make it more natural to learn. With the development of AI in 2025, we were half excited and half terrified that AI could take over graphically. DISCAT GAMES is somewhat positive about AI and declares that it can be used for UI, but not for main graphics and illustrations. With the switch to the Godot engine, NONAME changed drastically. For now, NONAME will be updated to version 0.8.003, with only basic AI matches, and the story will be updated later, with version 1.0 coming later this year. We added a new faction, the Woomer. In the middle of December 2024, Visual Studio was having problems with memory issues. This memory explosion appears to be a problem where the software is trying to support too many processes at once, which causes a lot of processes to start up in the manager and causes code to be eaten abnormally.
