• Speed and Performance Update - 4 January 2025

  Some small number of players have reported low FPS and lagging on some levels. So, the overall performance was improved. I hope you’ll enjoy the overall experience. Moreover, UI elements were updated to show related actions and corresponding buttons. Sounds were improved. Mushroom that cures Toxicity was added. Now you can find it in crates and buy in the Shop. Chocolate bar that cures Frostbite was added as well. Now you can find it in crates and buy in the Shop.

  1. Camera movement was fixed. Made smoother. For some reason there is a performance difference between the final build of the Game and the version downloaded through Steam 2. Some UI elements were fixed Contact me if you have encoutered issues :)

  Hello there from the developer. My name is Ramil, and I sincerely hope this Demo brings you much joy, as well as chaotic and challenging experience. This is my first ever game made solo, with no prior experience in game-development. The content of the Demo: This is quite shot experience, but given that it may prove to be challenging and somewhat unfair at times, beating it might require some time. The Demo consists of 6 playable areas with a number of randomly generated events. You will have to progress through those areas, survive the encounters, while upgrading you character and elemental powers. You will eventually reach the area with spawning waves of corrupt enemies, which you would have to survive in order to meet the boss of the area.   Hello there! Quick word from the developer. My name is Ramil, and upon finalizing the Demo version of Echoes of the Abyss, I wanted to make some sort of overview of gameplay mechanics. Hopefully, it’ll be useful to some of you. Overall features One hit gameplay – eat or be eaten. Elemental interplay – Poison, Frost, Fire, Electricity, Gravitational forces are interacting with each other. Destructible environment – almost everything can be destroyed. Random generation of Rooms and layouts from hand-crafted presets. Random generation of enemies and traps from hand-crafted presets. Permadeath from physical, elemental damage or from going insane. Zero handholding and help - gameplay by trial and error, no tutorial, just a small amount of descriptions in dialogues and hints in menus.
