Version 1.14 contains the following additions and changes: Fixed some spell hover texts that were missing, concerning Meteor, Nurture, Energy Well, Specters and Spikes and Sunspot! Meteor now causes fire or earth damage, it is random! Added new skills Light Bonus, Dark Bonus, Nature Bonus and Ice Bonus to provide boosts to the new spells. The monster power called Dent Armor has been changed so that the effects are more potent. This power will lower your armor value for up to 20seconds, making you easier to damage. From level 2 onwards if you are running out of energy you will find you auto-use food in your inventory (not limited to power bar) and don`t have to manually use it. - v1.13 the Lost Tunnels and Mushy Updates - 28 July 2025
Today sees the release of patch v1.13, this is technically the one month from release Birthday Patch.The Lost Tunnels accessible via digging with a shovel have been updated over the last two patches and are now considered complete.As well as the monsters now dropping Imp Sigils, and Greater Imp Sigils which can be turned it at Mushy inside his lair, the map now contains the boss Pokey.Mushy has gone from a cute NPC with limited functionality to providing numerous exchange quests both for turning in mushrooms to get Spore scrolls, and for turning in Sigils to get rewards such as Encasement scrolls and ancient pieces of jewelry that Mushy found while wandering the tunnels themselves.This patch also contains several minor and major bug fixes and some tweaks for the Standalone version.Finally I have begun adding new instructional videos to our YouTube channel, check out this playlist!I hope…
- v1.12 has been released! - 25 July 2025
NOTE: This patch only applies to the full release version and not the demo version. It contains the following: Mimic monsters may now spawn in a select few locations. Opal Charged Birthstone effect has been changed, you now get full fly time plus a 10 second fly time buff for 60 seconds. Consuming any kind of potion now gives an empty bottle at the end of it. Empty bottles are a crafting ingredient for Alchemy and needed to craft potions. Expanded crafting to allow for a third ingredient when crafting. When using a shovel, if you have unlocked the Lair of Mushy you'll end up there instead of the Lost Tunnels when the teleport triggers. The change to potions is essentially to make it slightly more realistic but to also show you how recycling works!
- Patch v1.11 - 20 July 2025
This is a stability patch providing numerous fixes, including: Inventory Quantity and Power Quantity Stacking Glitch that may have meant the amount of items in your inventory was out of sync with your Power Bar Quantity. Energy Well may have been glitched for some and could not be picked up off the ground when it drops. Corrected a couple of grammatical issues with some of the quest screens.
- Patch v1.07 out now! - 13 July 2025
Patch v1.07 adds the following features and changes: Added a Statistics button to the Achievements screen to allow you to see additional metrics that were previously hidden. Iridium armor is now visible as a crafting item when you go above level 7, previously it hid but as you need Iridium to make Stone armor it makes no sense for that to continue. Crafted (i.e. the number of times you crafted an item) is now recorded as a metric. Clicking on your Birthstone or Cataclysm on the Character screen will now repeat the text you saw when you were assigned that item. Birthstone powers now kick in more frequently. Completely redesigned the lighting system, lighting should now be a lot prettier. ESC key now triggers the game menu as well as the ~ key. Fixed and issue where the Change Log and Options menu items from the in-game menu may not have been selectable from keyboard or controller. Window…

- Banished Stone adds Prophecies and Cataclysms - 7 July 2025
A feature update primarily with a couple of bug fixes.This update adds the PACS system which stands for Prophecies and Cataclysms.You'll be randomly assigned a Birthstone (Prophecy) when you enter the Elder Forest for the second time. Old players simply go back to the Elder Forest after loading the update, new players do nothing and you'll eventually trigger it.Later on you'll run into the Sayer NPC and will get a Cataclysm assigned to your character.Also includes:Adjusted the baked on text feature, so the newbie tips will indeed go away at level 2 as expected. Seems like they were sticking till level 3 instead.You now also have a Birthstone power bar, when this reaches full (which happens from combat) it will auto-trigger a new special power unique to that Birthstone.Fleeing monsters now show a fright speech bubble before they run.Fixed an issue with some shadows on objects on the map…

Here are the following changes for v1.04. The Auto NPC option in Options now defaults to on, you can change it to off if you don`t like this behavior. Tweaked the outline effect when selecting an NPC or object, performance has improved because of it. Changed the baked on text system, to show the relevant and related key or button press above it. This is more intuitive. Added a ton more baked on text helper tips in the Inn, Frontiersville and the Elder Forest. These go away after level 1 and are solely designed to give new players a helping hand.
- v1.03 Fps Counter and Screen Resolution Configuration Added - 29 June 2025
It's a small patch by recent standards, but important none the less. FPS Counter Display Press the / key to open the game command line and then type fps (/fps) and it enter to toggle a FPS counter on or off. Changing Resolution Previously I had assumed a one size fits all approach and the game scaled to fit your current resolution, I recognize this may have had pitfalls so now I have added a way to change your resolution via the new Resolutions button on the Options screen (once a character is loaded). A list of resolutions will be provided, with recommended sizes fitting closer to the preferred 16:9 ratio indicated with a gold crown and not recommended with a red mask. Changing to one of these resolutions will be almost instant, and it should revert back to your original resolution upon exit. Here's just part of the changes made to this version, ahead of the launch on June 26th. Tab key now toggles Story mode on and off. Much more than hiding the HUD, this feature also hides tool tips and a few other things so you can play with all the clutter off. You can also take great screenshots and videos this way. Fixed a bug with the loading screen that meant if you resized the window using F11 the position of the loading elements may have been incorrect. Improvements have been made to the Cursedlands Map. Here are the latest changes: Fixed an issue with the new key/button icons not showing up over a power slot if nothing is readied at that slot. Fixed an issue with the newly changed Powers screen that may have led to an error when hovering the mouse over an unused power. Shortcut icons now show up on top of the CIRCLE buttons, indicating what controller button/key press triggers the button. The Trigger Key tooltip text has been removed. The final choice screen now works correctly with Controllers. Using the WASD keys to select items on sub-screens is no longer quite as twitchy. v0.98 has been released.Better controller support, if on the main game menu and a controller is plugged in the game menu will automatically adapt to show the change in keys.Ready button no longer shows up in Inventory popup if you have all your power slots full. Great news, today is the first release that features Controller support. And the following other changes: Apparition, Beholder, Tusker and a few more critters now have enhanced combat abilities. The Cook in BAC Base is now Giftable and has combat abilities when Hanging Out. Added some additional sound effects to some of the new monster abilities. Fixed a bug with Darkness/Illumination that may have caused your shadow to disappear. Added auto-select NPC as an option, default is OFF. - v0.95 Bug Fixes and New Things! - 21 May 2025
The following changes were added as part of v0.95. Added some new environmental effects such as flies, flames, flowers, stars, tornados etc.... these should add a little more ambience to some maps. Fixed a bug introduced in the last build concerning looting some items off the ground causing an error. Fixed a memory leak error caused by assets not de-initializing from the previous map when changing maps. Added the feather potion which allows you to change the color of your feathers. See Storekeep at Frontiersville. Queen Stinger and Necromancer now have new combat abilities. Fixed an issue with some quest line buttons not matching up with the on-screen text, this was introduced a few patches ago unfortunately.

Quite a long list of changes and additions in this release as we get nearer to the final build. Additions Jumping with pets out now shows their jump animation as well. NPC buttons may now have additional requirements to work in some situations. All the NPCs in Frontiersville that can be given gifts now have the GIFT button. All other NPCs which are not giftable do not have the button. Hang Out NPCs have now largely been given combat abilities. As well as yielding fungus when digging, you may accidentally fall into the Lost Tunnels. Who knows what awaits below? The brown error popup window has been replaced with a more subtle icon that will display just below your avatar and flash if an error was triggered. Clicking the flashy stick of dynamite will show the error reporting tool. Adjusting difficulty no longer requires changing maps for monsters to scale to the new difficulty setting. It…

After an unintentional delay the following changes have been patched in. Special Brew was not supposed to be spawning as random drop loot. The new lighting effect in the Inn has been dialed back a little. A glitch in this system meant it may have been strobing too hard.. New help system accessible with F1 key, new tip screens when you start out. Level 3 and under additional tips will show up on tooltips, with information on buttons or mouse clicks that can be evoked. Digging has been added but needs to be expanded more. More intuitive results when Pilfering, when stealthed targets you can pilfer from turn blue. Wing Jumping i.e. shift run and Jump combination has been temporarily disabled. Fixed a bug with resizing the game window on the loading screen. Good things come to those who wait! At least that's what the vibe is with this patch. Included in this version, just about everything but the kitchen sink (although there is now a kitchen sink in the kitchen of the Inn). NPCs now react to certain scenarios making them like you or not. An NPC that likes you may give you store discounts, extra quests and more. - See the new GIFT button on some NPCS. Fixed another issue with Save and Exit that may have caused your save file to get deleted. The Switch Character screen now also lists characters that only exist in backup form, allowing you to restore your character without going to the backup screen. Although the backup screen allows restoring backups of all characters, while the Switch restore function is solely for characters that only exist as a backup. - v0.9 Brings Massive Updates to the UI - 20 April 2025
Version 0.9 was released today and contains some massive updates to the UI and improvements across the board. Quest Journal now has a new interface. NPC Quest screen now has a new interface. Main Menu now has a new interface with far less clutter. Changing sexes on the new character screen is now possible using the buttons. A few bug fixes to longstanding issues and new issues brought on by the last patch.

New NPC Quest Screens Fixed an issue with some game windows throwing an error when you use F11 to resize your game window with said in-game screens open. The main screen now correctly shows the last character you played, versus the last character you made. Completing Lady J`s starting quests now removes the icon above the Exit (previously it would only disappear if you exited and entered the Inn again). Fixed an issue with Save and Exit potentially exiting during the save causing the save file to be deleted. Added a new in-game feature to restore a save file backup.
