Hello fellow Planetary Architects! Just to let you know that Nekokami: Internship is now Steam Deck Verified! We are actually ready when launch but It took Steam three months... This is a major update to Nekokami: Internship - The Dream Garden update! The Dream Garden is a quiet sanctuary for Planetary Architects. In this secondary game mode, you can create your world peacefully, without objectives or mischievous cats or interruptions. You are the master of your dream, after all! The mysterious Torii of the Dream Garden. In Nekokami: Internship, you unlock more random Tiles for the Dream Garden by progressing in the main game mode - the Story Mode. In the full game, the Dream Garden will come with a wide array of options and have a unique system of progression. - Road to Version 1.0 - 4 May 2024
Hello Planetary Architects! Nekokami: Internship is getting to version 1.0 soon! We are working hard on both the full game as well this important milestone version of the the prologue. One of the highlight is that we will be adding a prototype Quickmode that allows our Planetary Architects interns to start individual short gameplay sessions right from the menu. Perfect when, say, you are on Steam Deck, or just want to sneak in for some fun during a lunch break! :D We will be sharing more details and some screenshots soon. Version 1.0 doesn't mean we won't be improving it in the future, though. When we have new features in the full game, we will always see if some part of it can come to the prologue, as a demo. Hi Planetary Architects! Just to let you know that we have uploaded a new build with Simplified Chinese localization. This is the last localization we will be having until the launch of our full game's Early Access. In the coming weeks, we will be posting our exciting developments on the full game so far. Ah, it's an indescribable feeling when you've grown up playing Japanese games and now you have your own game in Japanese. Our UI style is actually inspired by a classic Japanese game from long, long ago. Maybe that's why it looks so natural with Japanese localization? Simplified Chinese version will be upcoming next. - A Visual Preview of Upcoming Improvements - 16 March 2024
We covered some of the upcoming improvements in last week's update, but today we'd like to give everyone a visual sneak peek. Sometimes the improvement is purely cosmetic. Say, we believe that talking to a cat spirit should feel different from talking to your cat colleagues... We actually revamped the entire dialog system so the chatty cats will interrupt your gameplay less. Yeah I know, this is unrealistic. Real-life cats just LOVE to interrupt humans: As mentioned, we are adding more gameplay options, so we want to ensure players are informed: Please note that the screenshots show a work in progress. They are subject to change. By the way, if you've made suggestions to us, we always add your invaluable feedback to our big list of possible improvements. The prologue is getting over 15000 downloads! That's probably a small number for Steam, but for a first time indie, it is huge. We're receiving valuable feedback from testers through both public and private channels. We are excited and overwhelmed at the same time. The Prologue and the game as a whole is a work in progress, so please keep the feedback coming! It's a good time to share what we are working on, too: Japanese Localization: It is making good progress now. Thank you for your patience! Chinese Localization: Same here.
