  Hello, vigilantes! First of all, we would like to thank you for your continued support. We're very happy to see that so many of you are excited to play this adventure. It means a lot to us. Now, onto the big news: we have made the hard decision to delay the launch of The Vigilante Diaries, but for a very good reason. Currently, we have a big unannounced project on our hands, so we had to make adjustments in the team and shift most of our focus and resources to that.   In this new installment of The Dev Diaries, we wanted to go a bit more in depth about the gameplay and mechanics of The Vigilante Diaries. The game is a narrative RPG adventure where every decision the player makes will have consequences. As we already stated in the first diary, it draws inspiration from great referents of the genre such as The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante or Suzerain. In The Vigilante Diaries, you’ll put yourself in the shoes of a man and recap his life, going from his childhood to the moment he became a masked vigilante, and what happened after. You’ll be able to choose your vigilante’s nickname, customize his appearance and pick his tools: will you fight crime from the shadows or will you face it head-on with your own fists? The story of the vigilante will be divided into chapters, and will show you key moments of his life, like the time he served in Vietnam. You…

• THE DEV DIARIES #1 - Inspirations - 14 May 2024

  When creating The Vigilante Diaries, we have drawn inspiration from many different forms of media to create a compelling experience with the aesthetics we envisioned. As far as the gameplay is concerned, we drew inspiration from narrative RPGs such as The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, Suzerain or The Pale Beyond. We wanted a story with choices, where the narrative was at the center, and there was a lot of branching and replay value. We were also aiming for a story focused on conflict and that was politically and ethically charged. As for the vigilante himself, depending on your decisions he can turn out very differently, but within a range of possibilities. There was an article about Captain America that said Republicans would want him to kill Bin Laden, while the democrats would want him to expose the president, and those two sides are the kind of choice we wanted to give our playe…
