- Rogue Orbit: Swarmed! - 20 September 2026
Hi everyone! Rogue Orbit has been rebuilt in Myriad—and the swarms have grown. What’s new Bigger battles and new miniboss encounters. Reworked ship weapons, powerups, and upgrade progression. A growing, debris-filled Vortex with new entropy decay effects. Evolving backgrounds, refreshed cards and menus, and sharper stage endings. Improved controller and touch support, plus a photosensitivity mode. Native Linux support. Myriad and Proton are not getting along just yet—use the native version. Steam Cloud support across Windows, native Linux, and Steam Deck. Time is everything. Steam Cloud and your existing saves Profiles now sync across devices; display and audio settings remain local. Profiles looking empty? Your older saves have not been deleted by this update. Saves are now separated by Steam account, so returning players may need to restore their progress once, on the device where the…
- Rogue Orbit: Boosted! - 16 February 2026
Hello everyone! New update dropping.I've added a new game mechanic: Boosters!Whenever you vanquish an enemy, there is a slight chance a booster will drop. Right now we have 9 booster types that go into two categories: Event and Channeled.Event boosters are triggered once picked up. Magnetized picks up all existing Time Essence and Chrono Orbs and Time Bank Refill refills your Time Bank.Channeled boosters start once picked up and run for a fixed duration. If the same booster is picked up it will extend its duration. You'll have friendly UI bits to let you know about it.Additional to that, a couple other patch notes:Bugfixes (always)Optimizations (also always)Chrono Orbs will now refill the time bank however they are earned. If you pick up a Chrono Orb, time bank refill; if you level up, time bank refillUI refresh - Will stick to that UI layout from now onSee below all the current Booster…
- Rogue Orbit: Clockblocked - 3 February 2026
Hello everyone! As a regular content drop, I've added a new Enemy! The ClockblockerThis big fellow has the ability to stop your firepower from the front whilst showering you with slow bullets. His current rotation radius is slow and I'll most likely triple it on the next patch or so. Also he's a little squishy if you hit him from the back or sides.A few patch notes:Clockblocker as mentionedThe Ship Leveling system now affects all stats and those stats are now made public on the player card found at the Ship Selection, Escape Menu and Game Over screen. Still iterating on balance for that oneBalance pass: You're more likely to survive now but greed and hubris will still kill you more often than notAdded some lightweight shaders to enemies, they look a bit betterWorked a few optimizations here and there, still committed with maintaining a smooth 60 FPS and not conforming with lessImproved th…
- Introducing Rogue Orbit - 29 January 2026
Hi everyone! Nacho here. This new patch comes with the new name for the game. After a lot of pondering and work on it, I've decided to ask Valve if they'd let me rename the game and they have agreed to it very graciously and promptly (Thanks Luna!).The game has undergone a massive overhaul in terms of how things are rendered on screen. I expect framerates to keep up with the absolute chaos this can become. I might add some Options to help with performance but using Steam Deck as a parameter I have not identified a drop from the desired 60 FPS.I'm still working on the roadmap though now I have the right building blocks and framework to introduce new things and content without breaking everything in the process like it used to be.New Additions:New Name! (duh)Goblins have a new power up their sleeveNew Enemy: Shrimp SwarmShip Leveling System:Picking Up Time Essence works towards filling an…
- New Year, Newfound GODOT skills - 5 January 2026
Happy New Year!Since the last patch I have been tackling the performance issues that plagued the game due to me still learning the ropes of Game Development. That meant making some decisions around graphical assets, FX and how the game fundamentally works under the hood though I am satisfied with the results.Quick Summary of Changes:Removed many particle effectsImplemented asset pooling on most things (the game needs roughly 3 more MB of RAM now)Retuned Enemy AI to be less taxing and to allow for many enemies on screen with a solid framerateRedid the Vortex PowerUp FX, visuals and AIThere are many new things coming to the game soon though I should get back to being on holiday like I should.Thank you and talk in a few weeks!NachoEDIT: Hotfix up because I was supposed to holiday but found two bugs. Now I'm out!EDIT 2: Hotfix 2 is up!Quick Summary of Changes in Hotfix 2:Improved the Difficu…

- Unofficial Early Access - Time Avarice V2 - 14 December 2025
Hello everyone! It's been a very long time. As anticipated a few days ago, I've decided to completely remake the game with a more focused view on its game design and what I want it to be.While Steam restrictions prevent a return to 'Early Access,' this build features more content and polish than ever before. I am confident in releasing it now because it is stable and enjoyable—after many hours of personal playtesting, it is truly becoming the kind of game I love to play.As originally anticipated, here's a summary of the things already in:Enemies: The old crystals are gone; replaced by new enemy types.A Boss Fight!Traversable MapNew Controls New PowerupsNew ShipsEntirely New Original MusicOverhauled UI, Menus, Sounds, and GraphicsMassive Optimization: The game is a lot lighterAnd here are the things I am currently working on:More Enemies.More, better musicAchievements - Currently everyth…
- Change of direction / New content - 22 November 2025
Hello Everyone! It's been a long time since my last post... As we say in Argentina: "Things happened".This game began as a passion project that I was proud to share with you all. However, as I moved on to other projects and improved my skills in coding, art, design, and Godot, I felt the urge to revisit Time Avarice. I originally just wanted to clean it up and add a few small things.Well, that got out of hand. The scope grew, and I've been hard at work bringing a new vision of the game to life.Once playtesting is wrapped up, I’ll be moving the current store version to a separate branch and uploading the "future" of Time Avarice to the main Steam page. I won't call it a full 2.0 just yet; I want players to test the new mechanics first. If there is enough traction, I'll continue adding more content! What’s new in the update:Enemies: The old crystals are gone; replaced by new enemy types.A…
