Some time ago I decided to make the project a little more secure, and started using the Unity VCS (Version Control System). Unfortunately the Linux support for the plugin doesn't work. Instead of storing my files safely in a remote cloud location, it somehow destructed most of my project. For a couple of weeks I could not do anything useful, but had to salvage what I could. After that, everything seemed to work fine, until I again tried to store all my changes, when the external tools didn't want to do that. "Oh well," I thought, "I'll fix it later." Later turned into a couple of weeks, and then disaster struck: The disk where I stored the project locally crashed and burned. All work I had done to prepare for a demo went up in smoke.
