  • Seven Months of Project Rebearth - 9 September 2026

Hi All!I am currently on a vacation in Australia. I am working on the game when I can but evidently, the tempo has been a bit lower. August has flown past, however there still are some new updates! I have spent most of the spare time that I had coordinating with a creative writer to help me fill the remaining empty artifacts in Project Rebearth. These can be found by going on expeditions and stumbling upon interesting locations. Most locations are already put in the game world. but some still have missing content. Together with the creative writer we are making progress in writing fun stories that relate to actual real world locations, slowly revealing the lore of Project Rebearth.I am really happy to see how they are turning out and how they convey the story, but i am curious to hear all of your feedback as you encounter them in Project Rebearth

  • Six Months of Project Rebearth - 10 August 2026

Hi All!Apologies for the short delay. I am traveling through Australia for two months and although I am taking my work with me, I might be a bit slower to respond or implement new feature and fixes. But I definitely didn't stand still!Town icon rendering should be more performant and also more aesthetically pleasing, with smarter logic on which icons to show at what zoom level.Market names are back! They didn't show since a recent update but are now back. So you can create custom districts in your town.Trees can now also be rendered as lines and areas! They are more performant than placing trees one by one. Replacing many individual trees by areas and lines should improve the experienced performance. You can choose between 3 densities to create the aesthetic you want.Inconsistent zoom speed is addressedAdded a new Icon for even larger citiesAnd of course together with the usual performa…

  • Five Months of Project Rebearth - 4 July 2026

Good day folks! The summer months have definitely kicked in if you live in the northern hemisphere! I hope you are all able to enjoy some outdoors time. And a game like Project Rebearth is the perfect summer game as you can still lock in and grow your town while also enjoying the warm outdoors when the temperatures allow it. Updates have been a bit slower due to me combining the development with other projects, as well as moving countries, but they definitely haven't stopped! Here are some more changes you might have missed in this past month:Implemented rendering fixes and improved the drawing handles of shapes and lines.Added an upgrade for the tavern! Now also consuming milk and glass, producing significantly more coin.Added upgrades for houses! Now consuming clothing, producing coins.Added a panel to manage all upgradeable buildings so its easier to manage upgrades of big towns.Added…

  • Four Months of Project Rebearth - 6 June 2026

Good day all!it seems like you all had fun playing around with the new blueprint feature! The workshop is nicely filling up with all of your wonderful creations, and the towns you are building with them are astonishing! But I'm also happy to see that a lot of towns still keep their hand made and custom tailored look. You all are so inspiring! Here are some more changes you might have missed in this past month:Added grid overlays and labels to the map exports for easier use in DND/TTRPGsAdded tighter restrictions to overlapping buildings of the same type to avoid mindless spamming, while still allowing for as much creativity as possible.Improved inputs for trade, so you can specify exact quantities or pricesCustom keybindings for better compatibility with different keyboard layouts.Objects can now be flipped! This should give more creative freedom when building large projects.Towns that h…

  • 10M Inhabitants and Blueprints! - 9 May 2026

Another milestone, SMASHED! The total population of the Project Rebearth has surpassed ten million inhabitants! You all are building like there is no tomorrow! And what great timing, right as a new major feature is about to drop. Blueprints are coming to Project Rebearth for everyone to use! Blueprints will allow you to create predefined designs containing up to 50 buildings. These designs can then be placed as a whole in the game world, both in the online world, as well as in the sandbox. In the past week, supporters on Buy Me a Coffee tested out this new feature to the fullest, and now it is up to you to create beautiful templates and share them with the community using the Steam Workshop. This will also help with a better experience end-game, as it gets easier to build pretty large towns more easily. All ready for the next new Milestone of... 100M? 👀(But do remember, the fun of the…

  • One Month of Project Rebearth - 3 March 2026

What's up Project Rebearthers! It still feels like yesterday but the world of Project Rebearth has been alive and spinning for a month now! I am happy to see that all of our hard work is paying off. My hard work as in, the server runs a lot more smoothly now, even with almost 500.000 objects to keep track of. And your hard work as in 500.000 objects filling this empty world with YOUR creativity, ambitions and lore! Here are some of the changes that you might have missed these past few weeks:Added finer rotation controls to be more precise in your building processImplemented player guidelines to better communicate what behavior is tolerated and what isn'tSeparating the settings into tabs for clarity, and to allow for further expansion of tweaks and knobsMade upkeep cost of towers incremental, so there is less risk of advanced players spamming towers. this should make expansion more linear…
