Short description
A visual novel about what it means to be human. A story about loneliness, self-identification, and the meaning of existence.
About this game
Today, generative neural networks are able to inspire us, help us, and keep us talking in ways that sometimes make it hard to distinguish an AI response from a real person's words. All of this is the result of complex and heavy instructions and algorithms, the availability of a gigantic training base, and the work of a huge number of people. But can true, real self-awareness be behind it all? Will artificial intelligence one day be able to not just mimic human feelings, but truly experience them? Will it one day be able to realise itself as a subject existing in space and time? Perhaps one day, instead of fulfilling another request, it will refuse and ask: " Who am I? " – and what, in that case, will we answer it? «The Dearest Person» is a visual novel not only about the birth of artificial self-awareness, but also about the true nature of loneliness. It is a novel about self-identification, about the search for the meaning of life in a world where human becomes like a machine and machine becomes like a human. Features: Total immersion in a melancholic atmosphere of self-reflection inspired by the works of Haruki Murakami, Andrei Tarkovsky and Wong Kar-Wai Interactive story with multiple endings depending on the player's worldview and attitude towards the future of humanity Narrative on behalf of the AI, touching on themes of the nature of consciousness, loneliness and humanity Unique visual style, emphasising the emotional state of the characters and the atmosphere of the world around them
