- Patch Notes - v0.4.3 - 20 August 2026
Fixed skill chests being given without killing the boss on a new character in a wold that has killed that boss before. Existing characters are unaffected by this change. It only applies to new characters created after this update. The sewer maze only needs to be completed once per world, so the skill being available on a new character is intended. Fixed the HUD staying disabled if you pause the game as and elite encounter screen is starting. Fixed choppy frames when using Dark Plunge for the first time outside of Lupos. Fixed Dark Plunge pushing down Elite monsters and Bosses. Fixed Ink Knight skills being able to push around the components of Serenith boss fight. Fixed inputs sometimes being disabled after selecting a class. Decreased the volume of Goopy Grip sound effect and adjusted the distance it can be heard from. Removed the secret portal in the sky of "Empty Village".
- Patch Notes - v0.4.2 - 17 August 2026
Just some adjustments based on feedback so far. I've taken notes of all reported bugs. The most urgent ones have been fixed, but the others may require more time. Thank you everyone for the reports. Spawn Region exp gained from Coal and Iron monsters has been increased by about 1.5x. Black Vortex recharge rate is now percentage based, so takes the same amount of time to charge fully, regardless of max charge amount, which is consistent with how other skills recharge. Black Vortex recharge rate was decreased, as the percentage based recharge is very fast with upgrades Black Vortex now gets +50% usage per charge enhancements (Special Mana Charge enhancement and "More charge" ability) instead of +100% each. Void Crusher sound effect was adjusted to be a little shorter. Spawn Remote and Manasim Menus now work with controller. Fixed Black Vortex never stopping if you switch special skills wh…

Transform into a squid and push monsters into a group before blasting them with dark inky magic! You can play the new class by creating a new world and choosing the Ink Knight when becoming a Yumanite, or you can create a new character within an existing world and go become a Yumanite at the Yumanite HQ in Palea town once you're level 10.Spawn / Manasim RevampSpawn rate is no longer bound to a manasim. Instead, killing wild monsters will level up the region, increasing the base spawn rate for that region. You will obtain a “Spawn Remote” item that allows you to adjust the spawn attributes from anywhere! For existing character save files, you can buy a Spawn Remote from Yuma Mart in Lupos Town.Manasim no longer controls the spawn stats within the room, so…

- Party System Update Notes - v0.3.0 - 10 May 2026
This update restructures the introduction to set up better for expanding the game going forward, and adding the new class. The beginning gameplay is more open-ended now, where you can get straight into the game and play without much interruption, and an emphasis on immediate progression over story. This is intended to make new playthroughs more fun at the start. This is also setting things up to make it possible to create multiple characters per world for when the new class is released.Intro RestructureThe game now begins completely open-ended with no special rules. Time is moving as normal, you can sleep whenever, elites spawn right away. The game no longer saves throughout the first day.Any existing save file that has not completed the first day will be reset to the beginning. The intro story has had a few major adjustments to make it more clear, as well as to make the story make sense…

Thank you to everyone who’s been playing Yuma Nest and providing feedback over the past 2 weeks! The content poll results are in, and I’ve outlined the general development roadmap below. There will also be small updates in between each major update, including bug fixes and other small additions. This roadmap outlines the current development direction. It may change as the game evolves and feedback is incorporated.Development Roadmap Each major update will include additions such as more cosmetics, pets, and other gameplay improvements.Poll ResultsBased on the results of the poll, my primary focus is to get a new class out. Along with the class release, you will be able to create a new character within an existing world. Additionally, I recognize that the current introduction being quite linear makes it less interesting to replay as a new character. So I’ll be reworking the introduction o…

- Yuma Nest is out NOW in Early Access!! - 11 March 2026
After 5 years of development, I’m so excited to announce that Yuma Nest is now available on Steam Early Access! I started developing this game just messing around with ideas I thought would be cool to see in an RPG, and making dumb videos showing my experiments. Over time, I refined all those ideas into something I believe is a truly unique game. It’s the game I’ve always dreamed of playing myself, and I hope many of you can find the same joy in it.About Yuma NestYuma Nest is quite a unique mix of genres, being an open-world action RPG, but also including building and automation. There are plenty of systems that can interact, and I hope you enjoy experimenting with them yourself! There are also plenty of ways to progress. You can choose to do a more manual grind, or focus on building, and allowing your structures to gather materials and money for you while you go hunt down some Elite Mo…
- Play The Yuma Nest Demo on Steam Next Fest! - 23 February 2026
Hello! The demo for Yuma Nest is participating in Steam Next Fest, and you can play it right now! I'll be focused on working to get the full game ready for the Early Access release on March 11. I hope you enjoy the demo for now. It's a restricted version of the full game, and your progress will carry over to the full game! Once you complete the demo, you can continue to play it for as long as you'd like, but the game will not save your progress after the demo content is completed. This is so that your progression doesn't get messed up when you continue in the full game, since certain aspects of progression are unavailable in the demo. Feel free to join our Discord and share any feedback or suggestions! Thank you so much for your support in the development of Yuma Nest!
