- Devlog #6 - Combat - 8 October 2025
Combat is designed to feel fluid, responsive, and strategic. The core philosophy draws from classic swordplay, dodging, and the tactical use of the many weapon items you’ll acquire, with enough layered depth to keep things interesting. In the short clip below, you can see our WIP sword combat. In the video below, you can see the first glimpse of our dungeon system. Weapons are multi-functional; you can use them to defeat enemies, but also to solve puzzles.Ranged combat is also part of the mix, using the bow and other specialized weapons. A lock-on system helps you stay focused on enemies and land precision strikes. Light attacks are quick and reliable, while heavy charged attacks take longer to execute but deal more damage.Weapons are permanent parts of your arsenal. You won’t lose progress to breakage, but some gear, such as the bow, will wear down over time and need repair. If somethi…
- Switching to Godot & Changing The Art Style - 22 May 2025
Dear Elyndrans! We’ve decided to change the engine and the art style of Call of Elyndra. We will use Godot and combine pixel art sprites with 3D environments. This marks a huge shift for the game. We have more planned. Read on to find out. The Decision Ever since we announced the game, we’ve mostly seen enthusiasm and excitement. Call of Elyndra is a beautiful game. It’s also a lot of fun. Those who have played the demo know that already. Still, some have pointed out some things that could have been improved. The framerate, the game feel, the ease of work, possible quality enhancements… Plenty of room for improvement. Our huge strength and also the biggest hindrance was the engine. RPG Maker is a phenomenal bit of software, and there are some masterpieces of gaming made with it. Some of our team members are also known in the RPG Maker community. At first, we wanted to make the most tech…
- Devlog #5 - Farming - 10 May 2025
Hey Elyndrans! We’ve mostly talked about the game’s story and action in our devlogs so far, but this time we want to focus on something different - farming. Since you can choose between going on quests or working the land, let’s dive into the farming side of things! The Basics If you’ve tried the demo, you know that farming is pretty simple. Just follow these steps: Till the land to make tiles. Sow the seeds. Water them a few times. Harvest. Repeat. You’ve also got a few easy-to-use tools. To make farming smoother and more enjoyable, you don’t need to switch equipment every time you want to do something different. Just hit the space bar to get things done - except for watering, which demands clicking and holding your left mouse button. It's possible we'll change that in the future. You can sell what you harvest, and some items might also be useful for crafting. The Details Farming is pr…
- Devlog #4 - Skill Trees - 10 March 2025
Dear Elyndrans! We’ve been working hard on the game for quite a while now, and we’ve realised there is a need for a huge change. More on that in the near future. Let’s talk about something that hasn’t been mentioned too much. Namely, some of the RPG progression systems we have in the game. How will the progression work? If you have played the demo, you have probably seen “mining levelled up!” pop-ups and the likes. Plenty of them, too. Fighting, harvesting, mining… They can be levelled up. How? We wanted to keep that system simple, so you simply have to fulfil these actions to gain experience and then level up. A bit like in Skyrim! We decided to go in this direction because it seemed the most sensible and seamless. We hold our inspirations, like old JRPGs, dear to our hearts. Still, we know the industry and standards have progressed in gaming over the years. Allocating stat points does…

- Devlog #3 - Let's Make a Monster + More Lore! - 17 January 2025
Dear Elyndrans! Today’s devlog is going to be mostly about the lore. The world of Elyndra has plenty of it to uncover. One of our Discord server members told us a while ago that some of the things in the demo didn’t quite make sense to them. Like, why are the villagers dismissive or mean? What’s the deal with The Arconian Empire? We’ll talk about some important concepts in this entry! This post is spoiler-heavy, but it mostly features early-game stuff. If you’ve played through the demo, then there shouldn’t be any real big spoilers. We’re also sprinkling in some nice art pieces and WIPs we have made as of late. Before we get into that… Let's make a monster together! Wanna have fun and contribute to Call of Elyndra? Pop in tomorrow, Jan 18th 2025, 2 PM EST, to our Discord server. We will be hosting an event for the community - let’s design a monster together! Through discussion, democrac…
- Devlog #2 - Elyndra's Lore & Our Plans - 20 December 2024
Hello! It’s been a crazy month for Quorum Games and Call of Elyndra. We’ve seen a lot of support, joy, and hope. We also received a lot of valuable feedback that needs to be introduced to our game. This post is about our plans for the future. We’ll also talk about Elyndra itself. Lore behind Elyndra, the village (light spoilers ahead) Elyndra may look like a regular village at first glance… Second, third, fourth, and so on probably wouldn’t change much. For you, an inhabitant of The Empire, it’s a frontier village like many others. However, there’s a deep history in this place. Elyndra hasn’t always been known as Elyndra. It used to be something grander - a municipality called Argentia. It was one of the grandest cities in the whole world. Unfortunately, it fell due to a disaster that obliterated the city and left very few survivors. Even though their home was wiped off the face of the…

Dear Elyndrans! Today is the day. Call of Elyndra’s demo is finally available on Steam! You can find it here - CLICK! In the demo, you will be able to embark on the very beginning of the story in Call of Elyndra. You will get to: Clean up the plot of land you will be given and start farming it. Experience a few days trying to grow as many crops as possible. Meet the villagers… Will they like your presence there? Explore the first dungeon - full of enemies, puzzles, and a climactic boss fight by the end of it. Meet the main characters and the main antagonist of the game. Learn about your true purpose. You’re the Dreamer, after all. The demo can be finished in between 40 minutes and, from what we’ve seen, up to 2.5 hours. It’s a decent chunk of the game, but still - just the very beginning! We would like to thank you for being with us and for playing. Stick around, there’s so much more co…
- Join The Demo Playtest! - 4 December 2024
Hello, dear Elyndrans! Just as Elyndra will need your help in the game, we need yours now. The demo was supposed to be released on the 2nd of December, however, we noticed areas in which it could be improved. This is why we decided to run closed demo playtests. Everyone deserves to get a demo that is going to be as good as possible. If you want to support us with playtesting (and be early to the party lol): Click THIS LINK; it will lead you to our Discord server. Head to the “announcements” channel and follow the instructions in the latest message to dive into Call of Elyndra as soon as possible. You will be granted access to the special section of the server and a team member will provide you with a key! We want to release the demo to the public later this month. So, will you help us, pretty please? :) The number of keys is limited, so make sure to pop by as soon as possible if you wan…
- Devlog #1 - Hello World - 22 November 2024
Hello World! We’re Quorum Games and you’re reading our first devlog for Call of Elyndra. Hopefully, you’ll stick around :) There are also two announcements by the end of it! An Overview of Call of Elyndra So, what exactly is Call of Elyndra? It’s a game that combines 2 genres - cozy farming simulators and oldschool, narrative-driven 2D action RPGs. Think, Stardew Valley meets TLOZ: A Link To The Past. We think that taking the best of both worlds will result in something special… And will allow you to play the game the way you want. By this, we mean that aside from the introductory stage of the game (which you can experience in the demo LINK) you will have the freedom to focus on questing and fighting, or farming and chilling. HOWEVER, if you want to do both - you can. This way, you’ll get the full experience and you’ll satiate both your cozy and adventurous sides. This game is also pret…
