Spend Two Minutes Reading This Before Playing to Get More Out of the Game A Sincere Apology First, I must be honest: as an independent developer aiming to promote and demystify traditional Chinese culture, I have shortcomings in game development. My skills and insights are limited, which might make for an imperfect gaming experience. However, I promise to continuously improve the game, making it more complete and closer to your expectations. Why Did I Develop This Game? I used to be a game developer driven solely by money, doing whatever it took to earn. The current money-oriented atmosphere left me lost and questioning my existence. My happiness was fleeting, so I resigned. I yearned for a deeper understanding of life, so I turned to social issues, hoping for answers. I followed Wen Tiejun's work but felt powerless as an individual to enact change. Knowing but not doing is meaningless. I delved into "Das Kapital," guided by Professors Wang Defeng and Lu Qiyuan. The book exposed exploitation (surplus value of labor) but offered no solutions. Professor Wang Defeng's interpretation of Yangming's philosophy and "Chuan Xi Lu" brought me some peace, but I couldn't grasp the core principles. A friend recommended Ni Haixia's "Tian Ji," which, like Yangming's philosophy, resonated deeply. It offered an explanation for fate, something I previously scoffed at. However, the I Ching remained obscure, its language difficult to penetrate despite my attempts. Finally, through persistent study and practice, I gained insights. Confucius said, "The sage does not strategize, the gentleman does not divine" because, understanding the I Ching, they realize that following its principles naturally leads to desired outcomes. We, however, are still influenced by external factors, hindering our ability to achieve our goals. Thank you, Master Ni Haixia, for leaving your invaluable knowledge for future generations.
