- v.1.1.13 Patch Notes - 14 June 2026
To get the important part out of the way, some of you might have noticed that Steam Achievements have been listed as a feature of the game for a few days now. This was of course to setup for this next update! You can now earn Steam Achievements!! When you first load into your save file, any Achievement you've already gotten should be re-granted and appear on Steam. All right now onto some quick info. I was planned to be done with this game honestly (to work on a new project) but recently, I had the urge to learn how to port games to Android. While I was working on the Android Port, I remembered a few things that I wasn't 100% satisfied with from the base game, which led to me making another update as well. As usual, copy + pasted from the in-game Changelog: Additions: - The game now supports Android. - Challenges have now been added for more mid-game variety. - Emily Tauren now has a un…
- Lean Simulator: Desperaceon v2.0.1 Patch Notes - 8 April 2026
Okay so first of all, now that the April Fools joke's over, the actual name of "Lean Simulator: Desperation v2.0.0" is actually "Lean Simulator: Desperaceon", at least that's what I'll be referring to it as outside of the minigame itself. That being said, unlike the previous update, this update ONLY makes changes to the Lean Simulator: Desperaceon secret minigame, not the main game itself, so here's the changelog: Additions: - You can now skip the short intro cutscene by pressing left click & right click at the same time. - Emily Tauren is now implemented! This is the only thing mentioned in the in-game Changelog. She appears as a 1 in 10 chance enemy who is faster than the others. You can also play as her if you type "TAUREN" on your keyboard at the title screen. Emily Tauren gives you an overall speed buff so she's basically a cool cheat code. - Previously, the Flood level was the onl…
- Release v2.0.0 Patch Notes - 31 March 2026
This update is so big that I've split it into 3 Parts, I'll give a description of each part in their own section. Part 1 - LeanSimD (Legacy) v1.1.12: A normal update to the base game as you know it. I'll explain more in the Part 2 section as to why I've called it the "Legacy" version. Additions: - Dev Archive now added to the Extras Menu. - Added a sub-easter egg to an already existing easter egg. Changes: - Special Lean Types are now less effective against Emily Tauren. They still one-shot her, but special abilities no longer apply. - Slightly increased the Bread Bonus from using Grean. - 2 Achievements have been swapped around so that they align with the order you're likely to achieve them. Fixes: - Fixed a capitalisation error in the secret error screen. - Title Star 1 now shows up immediately when it's supposed to. Part 2 - LeanSimD v2.0.0: Lean Simulator: Desperation has been ENTIR…
- Happy 1 Year Anniversary! - 7 November 2025
Today is the 1 Year Anniversary of the game's release, so I wanted to make sure today was a bit special!1) The game now has a manual. It's kind of a manual kind of a guidebook, I wasn't sure exactly how to classify it, but on Steam it's the Manual button in the library! It covers menu navigation and basic gameplay, but it also covers gameplay strategies, how to get certain secrets, and a short story rundown.2) (Steam-exclusive) The game now has a few avatars! Not huge, but I noticed I could upload some so I did. Now everyone can show how big of a Lean Monster Gaming fan you are.3) Craigzie and I are hosting a meme competition / giveaway of the game, but if you're reading this, you probably own it already. So lmao. My video announcing the reveals: Craigzie's video on the giveaway:Just In case you just want to enter the meme competition for fun or something I can't stop you I'm not your g…
- Release v1.1.4 Patch Notes - 28 September 2025
This update was actually a bit bigger than I expected it to be.In a recent update, the lighting started looking a bit nicer, which had the side effect of making the "black barriers" more visible. This really bothered me, so I said that eventually, I would make another update to remove those. This is that update. What I didn't expect though, was to do so much other stuff at the same time, this is actually the 2nd most packed changelog if I'm not mistaken! Not quite enough in terms of new content for me to consider it a proper major update, but it's definitely not a small patch.Anyways, below are the Patch Notes copy & pasted from the Changelog:Additions: - Lean Monsters now visibly walk toward the player and throughout your room. - Emily Tauren now drops down from the ceiling. - The Title Room has several more moving conveyors to be more visually interesting. - Custom Game now has the Bos…
- v1.1.0 "Finale Update" Out Now! - 18 August 2025
For a little bit now, I've been teasing that I've been working on a new content update for the game. It is now released! You can play it right now! Yes, even you Demo users out there can.I know I previously kinda dropped support for the Demo but I have updated the Demo this time as well, which means Demo users now also have all previous updates as well. The Changelog in this update is far bigger than all previous updates as this is the first major content update. I'm just gonna let it speak for itself.Additions: - You can now unlock Stars on the Title Screen to indicate what I consider to be this game's "end-game"/"post-game accomplishments. - The door in Tobias Lehnen's hideout now opens once you have achieved 1 star. - Tobias Lehnen's Medicalean in Tobias' hideout now has the visual effect when Tobias Lehnen's Medicalean is unlocked. - Added 2 Easter Egg voicelines - The in-room text no…
- Finale Update Release Date Reveal Teaser Video - 13 August 2025
Hi all, I sent a text post not long ago announcing and teasing this upcoming update. Now I've got a video! I wasn't super happy with it so I'm not going to put it directly on the Store Page (which was the original intent) but I'm at least going to put it here! See you all later this month!
- Upcoming "Finale Update" Announcement & Details! - 14 July 2025
It's been a while since I've said anything about this game, but I wanted to say that part of the reason why is because this next update is going to be a bigger one.Unlike the previous updates, this is not a bug fix update (I mean, there are a few bug fixes, but it's not the main focus), this is a CONTENT update.New stuff is being added into the game. Sporting the biggest most interesting changelog so far out of any of the previous updates. Some new features include:Totally new story elements (something better than just flat text in a menu or a wall).General improvements to the game's atmosphere, such as new visuals and audio.Secret Bossfight (already in the game) being rebalanced so that it is no longer a total pain in the lean.A new type of collectable to go for related to features later on in the game.Oh and of course the very thing the update is named after, a new sequence at the "en…
- Release v1.0.5 Patch Note - 27 December 2024
Previously, 10 of the in-game Achievements were not counted for the Completion % on the Profiles Menu, this has now been fixed. Also I've returned the Demo to the Steam Page. A lot more people played the Demo and it's more important to me that more people play the game than only a few people paying for it, so the Demo is back. Keep in mind, it's the same Demo as from pre-release (Beta 4 I think?) as I don't want to keep 2 versions of the game up-to-date but I still hope people are happier with being able to play this version of the game again. Edit bc I forgor: Another Story: Michelle has been made less accessible. It still exists, but you now have to run it directly from the game's directory rather than from the Steam Client. Mainly, I just don't think anyone would actually want to play it, and so in practice it just adds an extra unnecessary step to running the base game (selecting Le…
- New Minigame Added! - 20 December 2024
For those who have bought the game, you now have access to a small little minigame as well! It's nothing too crazy as it was made in a very short period of time (a few weeks I think?) and was never meant to be a standalone game like LeanSimD, it's just a little minigame I made for fun :) I used this to experiment with a few things, I made my own BGM track, I attempted to draw one of my OCs (looks especially dodgy though), I also made a character model and tried my hands yet again at making a cutscene. A bunch of things I would have wanted to try and get more experience with sooner with LeanSimD but I was never happy with the results so it ended up all being scrapped. This minigame is basically my way of experimenting with these things for fun without worrying too much about the end result. I'm not trying to sell it or anything, I just did it for fun, wanted to share, and didn't think it…
- Release v1.0.4 Patch Notes - 10 November 2024
Changes: - Changed "Deaths" to "Runs" for real this time (I accidentally changed the placeholder text rather than actual text itself last time, then was blind enough to not notice even after checking) - Adjusted a Camera transition when going to the Changelog. My smallest Patch Notes so far.
- Release v1.0.2 & v1.0.3 Patch notes - 8 November 2024
Additions: - You can now cycle through the Changelog versions to accommodate there being more versions. (v1.0.2) - Achievements are now fully implemented, because I somehow forgot to finish those (v1.0.3) Changes: - Increase key hitbox sizes a bit to make them (hopefully) easier to click (v1.0.2) - Changed "Game Over" and "Deaths" to "Unconscious" and "Runs" respectively to make the end of a run feel less negative. (v1.0.3)
- Release v1.0.1 Patch Notes - 7 November 2024
Additions: 1) Changelog (so you can read this in-game if you want to now). 2) New Cheat Code which gives you unlocks all Glossary Entries when inputted. 3) Special Thanks section added to the Credits for people who gave feedback on the Demo. 4) 1 singular light Changes: 1) Moved Version Number to make space for the Changelog on the Title Screen 2) Moved the Base Assets section of the Credits to make room for the Special Thanks section Fixes: 1) Fixed Game Over Screen softlocking when playing on controller 2) Fixed being unable to cycle through the letters on the last digit of the Cheat Input Menu.
- OUT NOW - 6 November 2024
Was talking with someone on Discoes about the release of the game and I though "eh, whatever, Why wait longer? Game is ready". So this is a 2-day early release. I'd type more but I'm on mobile right now because this was a spontaneous decision to release. So no extensive text wall this time. What I WILL say though is that the game will continue to get more support and new content. I thought the game was "ready" for release but that doesn't mean it's in a good enough state for me to just leave it alone. I have more plans for this game!!
- Release Date Announcement - 2 November 2024
The Lean Simulator: Desperation Demo is now no longer available as it's no longer October. In lighter news though, the full game will be released: NOVEMBER 9TH. Just a week away! (Assuming nothing goes terribly wrong last minute lmfao you never know) I hope to see y'all next week. So I want to use the rest of this post to announce the full release additions: 1) ACHIEVEMENTS The Demo felt a bit aimless, it was more accurately just a "main gameplay showcase". The addition of Achievements means you know how much content there is to see in the game as well as a percentage of how far through you are. It just gives a bit of an end-goal and a way to gauge progress. 2) PROFILES I felt it was unnecessary for the Demo, but the full game allows up to 3 save slots. It also allows you to re-name your currently loaded Profile. One of the things that people were bothered by in the Demo was the require…
- UPCOMING CONTENT SHOWCASE - NEXT FEST FINAL DAY - 20 October 2024
So it turns out due to timezones, I'm actually pretty sure this stream will be my last stream for Next Fest. I wanted to do something a bit cooler than just "continuing the full play-through" so in this broadcast, I will be primarily playing the game to showcase upcoming features that I am working on that will be coming to the full version of the game. I'll aim to have the following features will be showcased: - The final Special Lean Type (2 others that will also be exclusive to the full game have already been showcased) - Some post-game content - The Extras Menu (already showcased to an extent, but I'll be covering it more in-depth)
