New ECO ships coming now the 2nd ship ready and integrated. Very large sails, will be come a challenge for some harbours.
- ECO Ships in upcoming updates - 10 November 2025
This is a new Container Ship of the ECO series in Ports Of Call Deluxe 2024 upcoming update. Its using ridgid wind sails also solar panels and uses H2 fuel zells for a low Co2 footprint. More ships will come here for view of the new update also the new KARA with tankers liners and accessory. Sails are rotated according to the wind direction and optimized efficiency automatically.

Please chekc the discussion forum for the update 1.5x sugestions. I would like to hear about any wishes you have, or priorisation on the todo list : 1. Mortage like in the old versions included in KARA 2. more infos on the ships (two page setting) in KARA 3. New LINERS and TANKERS section 4. New Accessory section (anti pirate shields to prevent ...) 5. Setting periodic routes (still some ideas needed, probable done in the office - select a ship then an offer for a periodic liner, and options of strategie like behavior on events) 6. Stock Market as in pocxxl 7. ACHIEVEMENTs - have already a list of around 30 achievments like, get a ship, solving the rescue scene etc, --- LET ME KNOW on the priority, currently 1..7 is my todo priority, 7. will probably disable windows 7 using ... as the steam library is no longer compatible. 8. - Update 1.55 - 28 October 2024
A nasty safe bug was introduced with 1.5x -- the path shown in the header of SAFE and LOAD was no longer created, so without manual creation a safe error occured . Now this should create the missing path and some additional checks are done. Users which started on 1.4x do have the path already, so creating is skipped. by the way, PLEASE REPORT BUGs and Problems into the DISCUSSION first before you write a negative review which is not helpful, also describe the problem and used PC, OS etc as good as possible - I will try to fix problems ASAP.

- Update 1.54 SHip view in Captain's Wall + Bugfix Panama routing - 21 October 2024
Really agaian an update, this time one very nice user wish to add the small ship icon to the captain's wall, this will help identifing the ship. A important bug fix. Due to a name change (Colón to Colon) due to language setting problems, I forgot to change all, and therefore mostly the panama canal is not used instead the Cap Horn route. This should be fixed now. Start with a small ship in Los Angeles and Set Course to Caracas for example.
- Update 1.53 - Music in harbours and ETA bugfixes - 20 October 2024
1. Update 1.53 Bugfixed the ETA was missing the captains wall, now added again. Also changed it now shows the time to travel plus the load and unload time. So this should get better estimation. Attention in the rest of the menues you will only see the travel time. 2. User Wish Music in Harbours. As in the classic POCXXL version now harbours can have music when arriving, I added all the POCXXL music parts plus some new music. Here some examples for the ETA also some images for teh Japanese version. and dont wonder for testing especially the harbour musics I use the very fast FUTURA ship. So ETA is small here, for this kind of ship there is no load and unload time. 3. currenty music is in a.wav format you can add them yourself but I will if intersted make a tutorial or workshop on this. also volunteered music or harbour images are welcome. You then get into the ABOUT list.

Small update, for GERMAN and foreign users, as we had problems when the local numeric has "," set as numeric seperator, this new version overrides it. Important change otherwise berth positions and moving objects dont follow along the path - this might be a very old bug explaining some comments in the past !.

- Major Update 1.50 comming - 3 October 2024
Now we have design freeze. Hamburg is ready ,also the rest. I spend some time also trimming the gameplay, though I was sucessful with teh old settings it was rather time consuming, some tips, avoid dangerour places, avoid time critical freight. But I reduced the number of events and this is now spreaded over the difficult level, so a beginner will have less events and so be more safe. Also changed the start money so now three ships can be bought at the beginning and you can combine more at startup. Nearly all of the user wishes have been implemented now. The larges scene in the game is now Panama canal with almost 1 Million Polygons, New York had much less, its build as close to the real New Panama Canal as possible, especially around the canals. New and old canal can be traveled. A new event now is possible for manual and getting status points. Another feature is now the language setting at the beginning new languages also added as Russian, Norwegian and Japanese. New feature also as user wishes , you can now select a user and the ship to show the position, direction and I also will show the route travelling. This adds also new features in the Captains Wall, now you can select new routes to avoid, Panama, New Panama, Suez, NOK (North Kiel Canal) and the new routes Nordwest and Northeast Passage. - Update 1.41 countdown runs. - 24 July 2024
The new update is still in progress, the panama canal is now huger than any other scene, lot of details and the new lock system, now it works very close to the real panama canal, with the new and the old lock system both operational. I had to implement multiple sea levels also adding a new panama canal event like tugs on strike, and if you are out of cash you have to get through the locks manually. You see some of the models made for the panama canal, here the visitor centor of the old locks.

We are in the final stage of the 1.41 update. Done: font size dynamic for 4k screens, Language dialog at startup, new languages, Keyboard override the gamepad, WASD navi, Arcade option for fast scenes (new york, sydney for example), SPEED control in world menu for 1min to 15min..., NEW Weather addon, wind direction strength etc, different ship types on worldmap, new listbox with ships to look where they are located, new KARA Menu Special ships, new harbour NASSAU, New scene PANAMA Lock (gets a new event, just working on this). AUTOSAVE options, infos on milage of ships and year of purchase, infos in captains wall enhanced,

Work of the next update is full in progress. 1. several bugfixes, e.g. small font, now scsales with the resolution also for proton 2. WASD keys added, also keyboard overrides gamepad if used, but switches back to gamepad automatically. 3. language select on startup when no parameter is given, allows to add new languages easier 4. new languages: Russian, Japanese, Norwegian (in progress) 5. new level in KARA for special ships, as ships like UFO, VIKINGER and NAUTILS (new for cargo now), are more for fun than for the real cargo business. 6. new ship infos as buillding year, amount of travel (in work) 7. many new backkdrops done by AI 8. info on tug cost on storm events 9. many other user options which I just do step by step.
