FRAY spawned from the story of Tullio and Ziya, two deeply bonded brothers who share a passion for movement, hip hop culture, and a competitive zeal for video games. Their brotherly connection frays as the elder brother Ziya is lured into a wondrous video game world by Lucious, a beguiling AI character he conjures up for a gaming contest. The contest calls for building a great puzzle game, but as Ziya’s foray into AI blurs the line between real and virtual, the brothers are drawn into a real-life quandary in which restoring the frayed connections of their relationship means confronting the reality that people are the greatest puzzles of all. The FRAY team invites fans into both worlds through a hip hop dance theatre production, and through a video game for PC's launching on Steam June 15th. FRAY Game is an imaginative, rhythm based puzzle game in which the player takes control of Tullio to light the way through a maze-like world of isometric dance puzzles and rhythm based challenges. Along the way, cunning enemies attempt to break the bond between the brothers and seduce Ziya into the underworld forever. By moving to the rhythm and mastering energy-blasting dance routines, Tullio must keep improving his dancing skills to acquire enough energy to carry his ailing brother to the final level’s end - an allegorical home.
