• Update 1.5.7 - Big Update - Multiple Seasons Contract, Money Balancing... - 11 July 2024

  Hello everyone! We are here with a bigger update today! What Changed? Income and expenses are balanced. Characters usually ask for lower prices. Shows generate less money each turn. Everything gains much less Fanbase from shows. Characters don't start asking for absurd amounts of money in new seasons of successful shows now. Now you can sign multiple seasons contract with characters. When you make an offer to a character, click "Negotiate" and select how many seasons you want to sign for. This is the amount, so 'For 3 Seasons' means the contract will last for the 3 seasons the character works in the show. E.g Season 3 to Season 6. While making a new season, importing previous settings will automatically place the signed characters into their positions and pay their negotiated salary. • Update 1.5.6 - CharacterCreation UI Fix, Network Bankruptcy Setting, Update Logs - 5 July 2024

  Hello everyone! We are here with a small update. What Changed? You can now disable networks from going bankrupt on the Settings. The game now will notify you on the main menu when there is a new update and you can read the Update Logs in-game. Show Character Creation’s Broken UI is fixed. When there are more than 10 characters, the characters list used to be seen behind the creation panel, which is fixed now. When there are more than 12 characters, the list overflowed the panel. We now added a scroll. “Add Character” used to bring in the character without saying its role like "(1) Main Character)” and instead said “(1) Character)” unless the list was refreshed. This is fixed now. Next in the plan is balancing the income and the character prices, as well as hiring characters for multiple seasons.   Hello everyone! We are here with an hotfix. What Changed? After loading a save game, a show's network could return to "None" if the last contract made for that show is at a season rather than the base show. This is now fixed. Money is displayed in short form (1B instead of 1,000,000,000) on the top panel when it surpasses 1 billion now. Company Fanbase is displayed in short form (1B instead of 1,000,000,000) on the top panel when it surpasses 1 billion now. We hope you enjoy the game and have a great day!

• Update 1.5.4 - 29 June 2024

  Hello everyone! We are here with a bug fix update. What Changed? “Contract loaded before the show” bug fixed. Sometimes new seasons of the show demanded you make a contract with a Network even though you already had. This is fixed now. Clicking Seasons on a show’s panel used to show seasons for all shows instead of the specifically clicked one. This is fixed now. Terminating a contract while the contract’s show is being aired used to break the game. This is fixed now. If you have a contract on a season, canceling the season will terminate the contract now. Our previous update on fixing Company Logo not appearing problem seemed to have not worked. This one should fix it now. Sorry again! We hope you enjoy the game and have a great day!

• Update 1.5.3 - Filtering Feature! - 17 June 2024

  Hello! Today we are adding filtering ability for when you are in the list panel in the game! What changed? If you uploaded a custom company logo, the company logo disappeared when you loaded your savegame later. This is now fixed. Sorry that it took so long! You can now filter lists according to the properties you wish. For example, you can filter the characters list for it to list only Actors with Acting and Athletism abilities above 7.   Hello! We are here with Update 1.5.2. We have bug fixes and some minor improvements in this update. Most popups are animated now. The game has music now! Cancelling a season does not automatically terminate your deal with your show’s Network now. While making a New Season, picking the same base show multiple times (or switching to New Show then to New Season again) incremented the season. This is fixed now. While making a New Season, picking base shows without making a new Show Editor duplicated the created character slots in the character creation menu. This is fixed now. When the removal animation of a button ran after a click (for example a topics button), if the player immediately clicked again, it caused a bug due to trying to play the animation again on a removed button.   Hello everyone! We are here with our first feature update! 😊 --- What's New: Progress Bar: We now have a progress bar! It works together with your script. If you already have a script (not required for it to work) for your show, it will generate characters based on that script. • Update 1.5 - 26 May 2024

  Hello everyone! This update fixes a game breaking bug in the save system. We are very sorry for this. Unfortunately, this version is not compatible with the saves of the previous versions so you will have to make a new save. Also we changed the save location of the game. The game's user files are now stored in: \AppData\Roaming\TV Show Tycoon\ You can safely delete the previous version's user files folder here: \AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Tv Show Tycoon You can also now view and terminate your contracts! We are still working on other known issues, thank you a lot for your patience! We hope you enjoy the game!

• BugFix 1 - 25 May 2024

  Hello everyone! We are here with the first bug fix patch. Notes: In the reviews, sometimes player company’s name showed as its placeholder equivelant ‘{ccompany}’, which is now fixed. If the player changed the list pick panel quickly, the previous items of the panel could show up with the new ones. It’s fixed now. When a save is loaded, the directors from previous project loaded as unavailable and looked as if already working on a player project. It is now fixed. On My Contracts, the Network appeared as ‘null’. It is now fixed. Minor fixes. Known Major Issues: Contracts cannot be viewed in detail for now. A review may show up for a wrong character. • Balance Patch - Minor Fixes and Improvements - 23 May 2024

  Hello! Black money was broken and too powerful as long as the player did not get caught. It is now balanced. It is now added by month instead of by turn. The amount of black money that can be made each month is decreased. It can only be made for a random number of months now and after a year it will stop. The amount of money and viewers a show makes each week is balanced. The game used to direct the player back to show editor after the player tried to negotiate with a character who had a higher reputation than them. Now it directs the player back to the original offer. The characters who are working on a player show are now highlighted on the character list. The negotiation panel now has a format text that shows spinbox value in a formatted manner. We hope you have fun!
