• Some bug fixes and a thank you - 9 May 2026

  Hi! Just a quick update for whoever may be following along: I got a detailed (and very kind!) bug report recently from a player who was trying to play through the game a second time. The fixes are live now, so here's what changed.An issue that was preventing the Bone Marble item from being used is now resolved, so you can give it to the, um, recipient as usual.Catchable spirits were not always reset/respawned properly when starting a new game, making them uncatchable on a second playthrough. This would only have affected some players, but it's fixed now, so everyone should be able to replay the game with a clean slate.Cleaned up a few small things, like a typo and a sprite not displaying correctly.I've been quiet on social media but still keeping an eye on the game, so anyone else who catches something buggy can feel free to post in the Steam discussions or send me a message. • A note on Steam Deck compatibility (updated) - 14 November 2025

  5.12.2025 Update: Oops, turns out I was wrong about the Steam Deck verification requirements. I seem to meet them now, but developers can't "apply" or press a button to have their game verified. The process needs to be initiated by Steam. Since this is a small game with a small (but lovely!) audience, I don't think verification is in the cards for Tea for Sana — at least not for a while. But it's all good, because the game still runs just fine on Steam Deck as described below. • A late-game update - 26 October 2025

  This update is long overdue! I'm working on Tea for Sana solo — with the external support of a super talented composer and capsule artist — and this stretch of quiet time has all been spent working on the game. Ongoing updates take time away from design, pixel art, writing, and programming, and I wanted to focus on making as much progress as possible.With that, I'm happy to say the game will launch in mid-November! I'll set a proper release date soon, but I just wanted to let anyone who's wondering know that I'm still alive and things are progressing smoothly. The composer and sound designer, Laura Herceg, has finished the original soundtrack and sound effects for the game, including a special vocal track for the credits.
