• Academy overhaul - 6 September 2025

  WARNING: previous game saves are not compatible with this update.I have changed the way the driver academy system works. You still have the choice between creating your own academy or using an existing one, but this time what matters is a new element which is the training centre.When creating your own academy, you have complete control of how much to invest in your training centre (just like anything else in the HQ). When using an existing academy, you do not need to pay for anything but you also do not have control over the training centre.You can also now see a list of drivers in the academy.Other:Did some minor UI tweaks.Fixed a bug related to driver transfers.NOTE REGARDING FUTURE UPDATES: Future updates will come out slowly since I do not have much time to work on the game and I appreciate your patience.

• New finances menu - 19 June 2025

  I replaced the old sponsors menu with a new finances menu displaying recent transactions as well as a chart to help you visualise where your money comes from and where it goes.The little bit of detailed financial information appearing at the end of a season did not show the full story which probably lead to confusion. This was also scraped in favour of the new menu (the entry fee for the next season is still displayed).Note that if you load an old save, old financial information will not be available.Other improvements:Fixed some bugs.

• Driver contract overhaul - 13 June 2025

  WARNING: older saves are not compatible with this update.The driver contract system has been completely reworked to let you have more control.You can now negotiate various contract terms with a driver, including objective, duration and bonuses.The way you renew a contract is by directly negotiating a new one with your driver. You can also counteract offers by setting more attractive terms.I plan to do something similar with designer contracts in a future update.Other improvements:Saved games are now listed from most recent to oldest.Fixed some bugs.

  I added some timing information in various places throughout the race menus.Fixed a bug related to qualifying where teams were not always correctly sorted.

  The relative positions chart was tweaked to feel more intuitive and a few simple filters were added as well.

  Rookie drivers are now labeled as such before you hire them. Renamed the "Physical condition" driver property to reduce confusion. Fixed bugs related to manufacturer upgrades.

  Fixed a bug related to secondary sponsors. Fixed some spelling errors. Fixed some translation errors. Fixed a bug where the wrong chassis properties were shown when voting for an upgrade.

• Chassis & race simulation update - 29 May 2025

  Chassis: The high-speed corners and low-speed corners properties have been fused into a new "Cornering speed" property. A new property, "Lightness", has been introduced. Race simulation: The race simulation is now more accurate and has been modified to be more neutral (it had a tendency to reward vechicles optimised for high-speed corners). Other improvements: Race replay UI: the dot representing the player's team is now bigger. Post-race statistics UI: the arrows corresponding to the player's team are now bigger. Fixed several bugs. Fixed some translation errors.

• Quick fixes and small improvements - 28 May 2025

  Fixed some bugs related to the newly-introduced counter-offer system. Bots can now make use of the counter-offer system (this will not work with older saves, you need to start a new career for this to take effect). Drivers now lose some fitness towards the end of their career.

• New update: sponsors & drivers - 27 May 2025

  Sponsors: You now have the option to go for sponsors that will give you more money when you are not a top team; these sponsors focus a lot more on races so it is up to you to decide whether or not the money is worth the risk of failing expectations. Drivers: You can now make use of a counter-offer to keep a driver that is negotiating with other teams around. This is only available to you if the driver is not negotiating with a team from a more prestigious championship. A counter-offer currently consists of a signing bonus and a per-race bonus. Counter-offers are currently only available to players but in a future update bots will also have them as an option. Other improvements: Fixed some translation errors. Fixed a bug that prevented you from loading another game without quitting the game first.

• The statistics update - 26 May 2025

  I added post-race relative statistics for pit stops, drivers and relevant parts. I also added some basic statistics concerning cornering speed/straight-line speed for a given circuit (this shows you the number of winners who used one strategy or the other). Other improvements: The game now supports multiple save files. Temporarily fixed a potential bug involving team headquarters. More work is needed for a definitive fix. The Class C and Class B championships are now correctly ordered.

  I will start working on some new updates next week. I will prioritise the following gameplay elements at first: - Statistics (more statistics post-race, as well as per-circuit). - Sponsors (more interesting choices when not a top team). - Academy (more gameplay and information). - Driver/designer contracts (direct negociation, including counter-offers).   The game will come out on 19 May 2025. The full version will let you play an infinite career (as long as you do not run out of money), save your game in between races and mod pretty much everything except for the core simulation engine. • Demo update - 29 April 2025

  I have been updating the demo with small bug fixes. This update is different, on top of fixing more bugs I have added two new gameplay mechanics: - You can now apply special upgrades on your custom parts. Contrary to automatic upgrades, a special upgrade focuses on a specific characteristic and can be greatly beneficial. You also decide how many races you want to spend on a special upgrade (the more time you spend on one, the more likely it is to succeed). - If you are supplied by a manufacturer (which is not another team on the grid) you can also now periodically vote for a special upgrade said manufacturer should apply on the part they supply you with. Engine manufacturers also are now more likely to offer existing teams to become their factory team. I have also updated the background images used when displaying news headlines.
