- The second Dino Cleanup Playtest has ended! - 29 July 2026
After a week of cleaning, the second playtest has officially ended! It was awesome to see so many people trying out Dino Cleanup and sharing their thoughts, thank you so much for the wonderful response!If you haven't yet, please take a moment to give your feedback (form link) or report any bugs you found (form link).And if you missed the playtest, worry not! I'm really happy with how the playtest was received, and after I address some critical feedback (and bug reports), I should be able to release the official demo soon™️. You can sign up now to be notified when the playtest goes live! Just hit the big "Request Access" button, and once the playtest is live, you will be granted immediate access for the whole week!And if you've already played the first playtest, come check out the updates since then! Pack up your vacuums for now, the first open playtest for Dino Cleanup has officially ended! Don't worry if you missed it though, there will be more opportunities in the near future to try out Dino Cleanup!The playtest was an amazing success! Over 100 people tried out the game and I recevied 20 thoughtful responses to the feedback survey. (Make sure to fill out the survey if you haven't yet). All of the responses so far have been so positive, and I've been loving the amazing ideas everyone has been sharing.Your feedback has been so essential, it's really helped me figure out what works with the game and what to improve. Because of your early feedback, I was able to adjust the difficulty across the levels, add sprinting controls, and trial out double jumping all during the playtest! - Character Deep Dive: Pteri! - 2 March 2026
Meet Pteri!This is a first in a series of posts talking about some of the key characters in Dino Cleanup! Today I want to introduce you to one of the most important characters in the game, Pteri.Pteri is one of the first characters you encounter in the game. Pteri is the loyal assistant of another key character, The Professor (more on them later). At the start of the game, Pteri crashes into the home of the main character, Dino, covered in goop, and drops the vacuum cleaner that you use throughout the game.After saving Pteri, they become your key partner, dropping you off at the start of levels, and picking you up when you finish them. You can also hold a button to summon Pteri to rescue you from anywhere in a level, bringing you back to the nearest checkpoint.Wherever you go in the game, Pteri will be your loyal companion!
