- New Incremental Game and Better Regional Pricing! - 3 August 2026
Hello! Hope you're all doing well. Today, I'd like to announce that my latest incremental game has been released. Kin and Conquest:I also want to announce that I've updated the pricing model for Nomad Idle. It's come to my attention that I was using an old model that had very unfair pricing conversion in many countries. I've rectified this by making the price more balanced across the board, with many countries seeing a sharp drop in price.Thank you.
- Kin and Quarry Demo now available! - 10 September 2025
Hello! Hope you're all doing well.Kin and Quarry is my next incremental game that I've been working on and I'm happy to announce that the demo for it is now live on Steam. You can check it out here: Thanks!
- Nomad Idle 1.1.1c - 13 April 2025
- Fixed: Adventurer's Evo A (Full Circle) was not properly destroying enemy projectiles. - Fixed: Equipment requiring Cloth was disproportionately high and many pieces of Equipment were deviated from their requirements starting at Tier 3 by mistake. You'll notice some Equipment now requires different things, but this is now more well-rounded as it should've always been. - Fixed: Activity Log shows incorrect level when the player levels up.
- Nomad Idle 1.1.1a - 10 April 2025
- Ghost Blade and Final Spark now earn more EXP depending on your current character level. - Fixed: Imp's Fireball would sometimes not travel. - Fixed: If you died when a skill is unable to be cast due to insufficient mana, the skill is never used again unless you replace it or change Areas. - Fixed: When looking at the Ascension tree, any new Ascension Points earned while looking at the screen would not be correctly given when Ascending.
- Nomad Idle 1.1.1 - 10 April 2025
- Enemies now give 3x more EXP, Coins, and Souls. However, you can also choose to play Nomad Idle without this bonus. It is now a launch option with the game. - Enemies in Areas 8, 9, and 10 have had their damage reduced by 10%. - The cost of increasing your max Stat via Upgrade Stats has been reduced by a factor of 0.2 - The cost of increasing your max Summon Stat has been reduced by a factor of 0.1 - Ebb and Flow now has a max duration of 8 seconds, as obtaining 100% uptime is now easier with the above change and would be completely overpowered.
- Nomad Idle 1.1e - 9 April 2025
Again, sorry for all of these hotfixes. This attempts to fix the crash issues again.
- Nomad Idle 1.1d (even more crash fixes) - 9 April 2025
Sorry for all these hotfixes. I keep testing, thinking all of the crashes are fixed, then new ones are still found. This seems good so far, but they all have, so, I'm hoping for the best. Thanks.
- Nomad Idle 1.1c - 9 April 2025
More crash fixes! So, ideally no more crashes...? Right?
- Nomad Idle 1.1b (more crash fixes) - 9 April 2025
Sorry about this. This fixes some more crash issues.
- Nomad Idle 1.1a (crash fix) - 9 April 2025
This fixes a crash issues with changing maps / ascending while using certain skills. Sorry about that.
- Nomad Idle 1.1 - The Big Rebalance Update - 9 April 2025
There was a controversial slider in the Settings menu that, after talking it over with some of the community in the Discord, I have decided to remove. I was wanting to remove it because it's causing problems, but was unsure about moving forward with it. Today, it's happening. There was a slider in the Settings menu where you could adjust the number of concurrent enemies from 100 to 300. It warned of performance issues, but I was getting a lot of complaints about single-digit FPS from players and whenever I asked them about this, they always had 300 enemies. Balance is also impossible. On-kill effects become way stronger because more enemies means more enemies dying and procing their effect all over the place. They would forever be overpowered. All the meanwhile the game would be lagging to pieces and overall it was a mistake to allow this slider to exist. In order to make this an easier…
- Upcoming Balance Patch - 8 April 2025
I've been working on a big balance patch. I'm going through the game, start to finish, testing every skill as I get them, and then testing them again a couple Areas later. I've been seeing the concerns about the games current balance, so I wanted to announce that I'm working on this. It's clear that despite my best efforts, I've missed the mark on balancing Nomad Idle in a way that's fun and interesting. Moreover, some aspects ended up being a bit more grindy than I originally anticipated. This patch I'm working on should be done in the next day or two, but for sake of some reassurance that I'm listening to feedback, here's an outline of some of the things coming up: - Bestiary requirements will no longer ramp up, staying consistent across Areas with the same kill count requirements as Area 1. Area 1's kill requirement seemed to be a comfortable spot, so I'll apply that same criteria to…
- Nomad Idle 1.0.1 - 6 April 2025
- Nomad Idle no longer prevents screen savers from activating while open. - Camera follow text displayed over Summons when the Camera is following them has been made less obnoxious. - Fixed: If you did not have sufficient mana to cast a skill, it would incorrectly go on cooldown anyway. - Fixed: If you had points in DEX and SPI, but then set either to 0 via the double-down arrow, it would incorrectly set your Summon Damage from Stats to 0. - Fixed: If Smart Casting is enabled for on-kill Skills in slots 3 and 4, the "SMART" text would flicker randomly.
- New Steam roguelike Nomad Idle transforms Vampire Survivors into a fantasy RPG - 5 April 2025
Despite their name, the best idle games typically offer a nice amount of player choice. Whether you're deciding how best to apply your resources in Cookie Clicker or laying out your route in Loop Hero, smart clicker design uses the automated elements to enhance the overall experience. Bringing together those concepts with a top-down combat style reminiscent of Vampire Survivors, Nomad Idle has just landed on Steam, and it's already caught my eye with its surprisingly deep design. Read the rest of the story...
- Nomad Idle 1.0.0c - 5 April 2025
I've been looking into 2 skills that were heavily outperforming other skills to try and figure out what was going awry. Believe it or not, I've done extensive testing with these abilities and their balancing, yet here we are. I'm realizing now that the numbers I have in my documentation for balancing are not actually reflected on Ghost Blade and Final Spark. This means they're stronger than they're actually intended on being. This is a big mistake and I'll own it, because I know nobody likes nerfs. However, I would also be doing the game a disservice if I let these incorrect numbers continue to exist. I've checked through every other skill, ability, DoT, etc. and they seem fine. It's just these 2 skills. These skills will likely still be powerful, but not as horrendously overpowered as they were. I hope you understand that a game about variety isn't very interesting if you should always…
- Nomad Idle 1.0.0b - 5 April 2025
Alright, I did something dumb where I was testing something that involved not hooking into Steam, then I forgot to hook it back into Steam when I was done. This version makes Nomad Idle connect to Steam again (achievements etc.). Sorry about that.
- Nomad Idle 1.0.0a - 5 April 2025
- New: You can now left-click Passive Skill icons to toggle their visibility. Does not apply to LMB/RMB and Starting Skills. - New: You can now toggle Smart Casting and Visibility of Skills in Settings. - Fixed: Final Spark would sometimes get stuck and not update its mana cost appropriately. This resulted both in cases where Final Spark was always too expensive and Final Spark always being very cheap, regardless of level. This now updates appropriately. - Fixed: Slippy the Slime no longer gets stuck for prolonged periods of time and will change destination after a few seconds. If Slippy's target is very close, it may still be stationary, but this will resolve after a few seconds. - Fixed: Type in event where "Continue" was instead "copntinue".
- Nomad Idle is now available! - 4 April 2025
Nomad Idle is now available! I hope you enjoy the game. I'm active over in the Discord as well: Discord Link The Nomad Idle Demo has been taken down, as it has some bugs and miscellanous performance issues which have since been patched for the full release. It does not accurately reflect Nomad Idle, so that's why this decision was made. Nomad Idle is also in some bundles, if you'd like to check out some other cool games, as well! Thanks! Stay awesome.
- New Release Date - April 4th - 19 March 2025
Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. I've needed to push the release date for Nomad Idle back, but fortunately only by one week. Instead of it releasing on March 28th, it will now release on April 4th.
- Demo Patch 0.6.3b - 25 February 2025
- DPS/MPS Log now updates faster when resetting it. - Fixed: When dying, there were some specific situations where the game would crash. - Fixed: Hedgehog Summon incorrectly contributing to damage dealt for all skills. - Fixed: Clicking bags is supposed to give you the material of the next Area, but was accidentally giving you the material of the current Area. - Fixed: Skills would sometimes stop working after dying. This was a rare bug. - Fixed: DPS/MPS Log buttons could be interacted with behind menus. - Fixed: Spooky enemy ghost issue. - Fixed: Display Overkill Damage in the DPS/MPS Log was behaving incorrectly. - Fixed: Number abbreviations would sometimes be culled incorrectly.
