• Redirection is now Open Source! - 8 March 2021

  After four years, I have decided to release the source code to Redirection, to allow for modding, source ports, and the like, You can find it on GitHub: https://github.com/dan200/Redirection This release is inspired by id Software’s historic practice of open sourcing their games a few years after release (a practice they sadly no longer follow), and the vibrant community of ports and mods that followed in their wake. Like those releases, this code release still requires a retail copy of Redirection to run (currently 80% off here on Steam!), and is licensed under the GPL so that any changes people make stay available for the community. I’m excited to see what people do with it!

  Redirection 1.1.0 is now live on Steam! This update is focussed mostly on the Robot Arcade and features for Modders. Here's the full list of changes: New features Added a new Robot Arcade game: "Quest". Unlock Quest by completing the main campaign. Locked Robot Arcade games are now displayed with a padlock icon on the game selection screen. The button prompts for the built-in Robot Arcade games are now more helpful. Running Redirection with "-demo" on the command line now launches the game in a streamlined demonstration mode. This feature is used to exhibit Redirection at live events! Shortened the final cutscene of the main campaign. Added a message when completing a level with fewer than the allowed number of obstacles. Added one new achievement. Made some changes to support modders creating custom tiles: All tile types now support "alt" and "editor" models. Robot animation and sound…

This makes it easier to spot mods with multiple levels when browsing the Workshop.   Redirection is a newly-released 3D puzzle game built around guiding a robot crew that’s been stranded in space. You wouldn’t have to tell me that’s the point of the game to get me to help them, though, because it’s all in their eyes. They look genuinely terrified and/or helpless.
