    Time for another quick patch! Build 7076 brings some small balancing tweaks to award additional shards for progressing through the game. In Journey's Dawn, each stage boss drops additional shards, and across the game as a whole, final stage boss rewards chests now give around +50% shards the first time they are collected.     In the time since our last patch, we've been working on a larger update that we're excited to finally share.   • Steam Deck & Steam Machine Verified! - 22 August 2026

    We're happy to announce that not only is Hand of Fate: Hordes fun to play on Steam Deck, but as of today has Valve's tick of approval and is Steam Deck and Steam Machine verified for the native Steam Linux Runtime. Here at Spitfire, we've been using Steam Decks for testing internally and for showing Hordes at events, where we and our players have been impressed by the Deck's ability to fulfill the role of a handheld PC. We've also been lucky enough to get our hands on a Steam Machine, which we've found good use for, including capturing gameplay footage for trailer production.If you've been playing Hordes out and about on a Steam Deck, or on the couch on a Steam Machine, tell us in the comments how you're finding it.
