- Tacos at Steam Detective Festival - 12 January 2026
Alejandro and Xolo were so happy when we got the invitation to the Steam Detective Fest. That´s the week on Steam when all detectives are showing what they have to offer. What's on stake? Who got murdered? Well, Alejandro has something to offer. He is a detective, he got murdered, and he can solve his case on his own. Ok, of course with the help of his late grandma Lupita, who happens to run the best taco shop in Mictlan, the Mexican world of the dead. And thanks to her, he does not only learn how to make the best tacos, but also he gets the help of the magic dog Xolo. Together they can find out who murdered him. But as this usually goes, that case is just the beginning of something even bigger - the end of the world as we know it. Because if the día de los muertos doesn't happen, Mictlan will end as we know it. And the world of the living will be impacted big as well. We can't let that…

Right after the Halloween Scream Season is over and the celebrations of Día de los muertos around the world came to an end (check for videos and photos on our socials) we come to our next Highlight: It's time for the next show, this time in Lisbon for DevGAMM awards. - Tacos at BCN Gamefest - 10 October 2025
We were cooking up things in the last months. Feedback from early players and testers alike showed that you want more Mexican authentic food, so we heard you and adapted the game a bit. Now featuring a consistent shorter game loop, getting deep into the story quick, while remaining being a detective and adding more magic and food to it. With it we were selected to present our game Detective of the Dead at the BCN Gamefest in Barcelona, Spains biggest game festival and professional conference, from 10-12. of October. We arrived with a truck full of Tacos. Well, in our new demo we have a Taqueria. Soon the demo will be open for a playtest here on Steam, so please continue registering, esp. if you want to get your hands on nice tacos and become part of the game developments.
- We have the best tacos at Gamescom - 23 August 2025
Hey Adventurers, what a week - first at Devcom Night we showcased our game as it was selected by the Games Courage Team and got great feedback from game developers. Then since start of Gamescom we saw so many happy faces playing our game and giving good feedback. It seems that were are among very few detective games, even more few that are inspired by classic adventure games. And for sure the only game with original Mexican tacos. We will open for playtesting soon, so please check back in a bit, if you like tacos and detective work.

These days we are in the beautiful city of Gdansk in Poland, because we were selected to showcase our game and also are among 5 games to pitch to a jury, so fingers crossed they like tamale and tacos. - Rosca de Reyes today - opening of playtester registration - 6 January 2025
Today on Jan 6th the 3 kings arrive on their horses and as they are the 3 wise men they bring presents for the kids. The long Guadalupe Reyes marathon is over. Piece of cake? Everybody is standing in line to get their piece of the delicious Rosca de Reyes cake, hoping the little baby Jesus figure is not in theirs (unless you want to spend a lot). But it tastes so good! Another piece? All kids are queuing to happily destroy the piñata to get sweets and maybe also some money raining down on them. There is something in it for everyone. Well if you like this, then maybe our game is for you. So from now on the registration for playtesting is open.
