• November Demo announcement - 13 September 2024

  Thank you everyone for playing our first demo during last two weeks! Huge thanks for your very positive feedback! Seems that everyone really loved the visuals and the world of The Great Fluctus :) Current test session is over and demo is hidden from Steam. The next demo is planned for mid-November. It would be focused on gameplay and more advanced terrain modification: * resource mining * base building * crafting Stay tuned!

• Demo updated with improved camera - 7 September 2024

  One more demo update made: Many were complaining about camera behavior, so I've changed it: now if something obstructs camera vision of character - we have this small transparent hole. It should be much easier now to navigate through the world Few other changes are: Improved hints for missions. Bridge mission made easier (more tolerant criteria to whether bridge is considered built) Changed lightning in Ovanox (the yellow world) Make sure to restart Steam to get the update! :)

• Updated demo released! - 5 September 2024

  Thank you everyone, who touched the demo on its first day of release! I've gathered a lot of feedback - and here is a hot update, where most of the issues are addressed: 1) Polished character movement (even when the surface under you is terraformed, the movement is still smooth) 2) Polished camera and reduce depth of field 3) Improved hints (much more difficult to miss them now) 4) Improved text readability 5) Added new Quest 6) Added Radio - find Radio Tower, fix it and use M to tune to your favorite station. Now you have options to have Chilled, Super Chill, or Energetic Chill vibe in the game :) 7) Improved last quest, so that you won't miss the portal thing Feel free to get the updated demo on Steam (restart your steam to get the update, if you already have game downloaded). • Game announcement: we are live on Steam! :) - 10 July 2024

  After years in the game dev industry since 2007, I'm finally launching my very first own game as a solo developer. The Great Fluctus is a humorous, adventurous journey through strange new worlds filled with quirky civilizations, trade, exploration, and lots of surprises. I started the game with all my love far voxel games and procedural generations, however I believe the genre is too focused on survival/crafting/base building, with other areas quite under explored - and that's what I try to change - as you see from the early content - game is more focused towards exploration & narrative, with very limited crafting mechanics added when needed.
