About this game
Midway upon the journey of our life… In Canto I, you take control of Dante, the Sommo Poeta, in a small adventure that reimagines the first canto of the Divine Comedy as a videogame. Finding yourself in the Forest Dark, you’ll need to use all abilities at your disposal to traverse it! Features Spread your wings and overcome every obstacle, bounce on magical books, dash through spike traps and defeat helmet-equipped specters! Fun pixelart style that will get a laugh out of you even when you’ll fall into a pit (there are lots of them) Rebuild the Canto I — Spread around the four levels, scrolls containing the triplets of Canto I hide. Find them all and read the poem in the menu page! Different game modes — play Classic mode for an experience without modifiers, Story mode for a relaxed experience or Hell mode for a real challenge! How to play • Movement: Arrow keys or WASD. • Double jump: Up arrow key or W in the air. • Attack: C, P or Space. • Dash: X or O. • Looking down: Hold the down arrow key or S.
