• Final Demo Update - 3 February 2026

  The game... is complete. I wish I could announce a release date right now, but we’re subject to some uncertainty that is out of our hands. However, I can assure you that it’s very soon!Given that, I wanted to update the demo one last time so that it fully reflects the quality of the finished product. There really shouldn’t be any more changes to the demo after this, because everything is as it will be in the final release.Changes include: • tweaks to appearance and content of credits • changes to UI • fixed inventory oversight in Haru’s route • character art, positioning, and animation tweaks • tweaks to particle effects • enhancements to game over sequences • cleaned up code and filesThank you for your patience. It’s been a long journey.

  Back in 2024, I presented the demo for DESERT OF ASH at Citrus Con, followed by a Q&A session. The whole presentation couldn't be uploaded elsewhere after the fact because of NSFW content, but I realized I could probably edit just the Q&A section, so here it is! From September 24 to October 1, you can check out a plethora of romance-focused VNs with demos and sales.If you haven't tried the demo for DESERT OF ASH yet, this is a great time to do so and get a glimpse of a few of the guys you can pursue, whether for a quick hook-up or something more. We've also recently updated the demo with some additional polish and greater accessibility, so check it out!Furthermore, the lead developer will be livestreaming the game as part of the festival on Tuesday at 1:30 PM MDT!
