- I'm working on two new titles "Taru's Infernal Pledge" and "Neuro/Splice"! - 30 December 2025
Hey all!I’ve been working on two new titles for about 2 years now: Taru’s Infernal Pledge (TIP) and Neuro/Splice (N/S). TIP is story completed with ~320 000 words (13 Chapters) and is currently waiting for the artwork to be completed. Meanwhile, N/S will soon release its Chapter 3 and is thus much earlier in its development cycle. Since neither game is completed, they cannot be shared here on Steam yet. We’re hosting early access (beta) versions on Patreon and itch for N/S, and only itch for Taru’s Infernal Pledge. Below are some SFW artwork and details on these two adult visual novels. We hope to bring these to Steam as soon as they are finished.Taru’s Infernal PledgeTaru’s Infernal Pledge is a text-based (Twine) interactive fiction with high-quality hand-drawn digital art. The gameplay is quite similar to my first title Jessica’s Plight (and the original Twine version of Animus Non Gr…
- Animus Non Grata - Special Edition is now available! - 15 August 2025
Hey everyone! It's been a long road to get here, and it's been a bumpy ride. But finally, it's here! The special edition "Renpy" remastered version of Animus Non Grata!Important additional details regarding this version can be found in the detailed changelog below:Cheers,FlimsyLegs
- Animus Non Grata - Special Edition is now available! - 15 August 2025
Hey everyone! The special edition of Animus Non Grata is finally available here on Steam! Game saves are incompatible with the new version, meaning, a fresh save file is needed. If you wish to continue your adventure from an old save, the you need to use the "old twine version", which is bundled inside of the ANG-SE package. You can access it using the "Old Version (link)" in the game's main menu. As always, let me know if there's bugs and typos! This is a complete re-write of the entire game, with dialogue and text modified to reflect the story-telling style delivered by Renpy. - Special Edition is a Renpy remastered version of the game, written from scratch. - Special Edition does not include Spanish translation - Old 'Twine' version is still available in the game's installation folder. You can find it by pressing "Old Version (link)" in the main menu
- Animus Non Grata is back! - 13 August 2025
Hey all,I'm extremely sorry for the inconvenience experienced by you all when the game suddenly disappeared from Steam. I woke up one morning to an email saying the game had been retired (banned) without prior warning, and as such I failed to give you all a heads-up of what was going on. The game simply vanished from your libraries and was impossible to find on Steam, and it was completely out of my control. These have been a rough couple of weeks, to say the least. Payment processors are deciding what kind to stories are allowed to be told, essentially choosing what "counts as real art" versus "content with no inherent artistic value". As a result of those tightened rules for adult games, Animus Non Grata was initially flagged for removal and was banned from Steam. However, the fantastic staff over at Steam Support have reviewed the game's content and relisted the game! Clearly, the game…
- Animus Non Grata - Special Edition! - 5 June 2025
Hey everyone! I've started working on a full re-write of Animus Non Grata into Ren'Py, bringing the typical visual novel format into the game. Ren'Py is a popular visual novel engine and allows for creation of games that most people associate with visual novels. I have converted 4 out of 7 chapters at the time of writing, but due to summer vacation you'll have to wait until fall for a proper release! This version is a "Special Edition". Game saves are INCOMPATIBLE between this version and the original Twine version of the game. I have to figure out the best way to bring you the special edition, while still allowing you to play the original version if you want to. Stay tuned for the proper release announcement! - Version 1.1.0 update - Spanish translation - 24 February 2025
Hi everyone! For the past two months, I've been working with a professional translator PrinDaisynha, who has translated the entire game to Spanish! Proof-reading, beta-testing and correcting the Spanish translation was done by Vicho75! The demo version also includes the Spanish translations. In version 1.1.0, I needed to do major refactoring work to enable two languages to co-exist in a single Twine HTML project. You can choose your language in the beginning of the game and swap it whenever you like from the configuration menu. Your old game files should work without problems in this new version, and they default to English language when you load the save file. The translations have been tested only from new save game files, and this is the only officially supported way to play the translated (Spanish) version. However, there should be no technical reasons why loading an old save and ch…
- Update Notes For Dec 16 - v1.0.2 - 16 December 2024
v1.0.2 is a minor update to Animus Non Grata. Changelog: - Fix a bug where music did not play correctly in passage "You don't want to hear one more word from him. He's just going to pile on lie after lie, isn't he?" in the last sequence - Replaced Sequence 0 awakening "dream" images with more detailed and varied versions, where Amanda is seen in the darkness (instead of just a background image without Amanda like before).
- Boot sequence activated... Launching ANIMUS NON GRATA...! - 3 December 2024
It's finally here, the launch day for Animus Non Grata! The game is now available for download on Steam! If you encounter bugs, please let me know in the community hub or in the game's discord server! Are you ready to step into the shoes on an AI android is a harsh world, fighting against or embracing your programming? Cheers, FlimsyLegs PS: Below is a bit of insight into the background and inspiration for the game: The story of Animus Non Grata is heavily inspired by “Westworld” and “Ex Machina”, and to a lesser extent “Her”. Being a heavy metal fan, the songs “Colossus” by Avatar and “AI” by Raubtier were the ones that finally kicked off the creative process. I wanted the story of Animus Non Grata to be a rollercoaster of emotions, a tale that sticks with the player, and hopefully makes them question the rapid rise of AI in everything around us. We see artificial intelligence popping…
