Thank you for all your support and feedback on the game! This update brings the highly requested feature for remapping inputs, new unique weapons and bug fixes. Here is the full breakdown: What’s New? Added Input Mappings menu. Added the “Alchemist Staff”. Added the “Flame Sword”. Added the “Halberd”. Added the “Black Knight Blade”. Added the “Pitchfork”. Added the “Great Hammer”. Updates & Fixes Reduced max durability of “The Penetrator” magic wand. Updated Buff VFX & SFX. Updated saving sound to be played less frequently. Updated weapon hit tracing to be more accurate. Fixed buffs/debuffs received from items weren’t always removed when unequipping the item. Fixed enemy rage sometimes activated after death. Fixed save game info displaying wrong floor information. And made various balance changes.

This is the first official update for the game, thank you all for your support and feedback! In this update, we focused on reworking how blocking and shields work and brought in some new shields. We also made changes to existing weapons to make them more unique and fixed various issues. Here is the full breakdown: What’s New? Blocking now reduces the incoming damage by absolute values instead of percentages. Also the player is now able to rotate and move slowly while blocking and only successfully blocks or parries when facing the attacker. Shields are now classified into different categories that affect how fast the character is able to handle them. Additionally we added parrying for some shields (see item description whether a shield has parrying) which is activated with a short right click to cancel an incoming attack when timed correctly. - Steam Deck Support! - 3 April 2025
Great news for all Steam Deck users! While Deepest Dungeons is not officially Steam Deck Verified yet, we’ve tested the game ourselves on the device and it runs great! Smooth performance Controls work out of the box Steam Cloud Save is fully supported – continue your adventure seamlessly between PC and Steam Deck! We’ll of course keep an eye out for any issues and fix them promptly — especially if Steam Verification finally comes knocking in the near future, but in the meantime, feel free to dive into the depths from wherever your Deck takes you. If you should run into any issues, let us know by joining our Discord.

Hey everyone, hope you’re doing well! We wanted to share our upcoming plans for the development of Deepest Dungeons and give you a sense of what’s ahead. Over the past few weeks, we’ve received a ton of feedback, and while much of it has been positive, we know there are still areas where Deepest Dungeons can improve. We’ve put together a detailed list of the issues, possible improvements, and new features we’d like to add. During this process, we quickly realised that, to deliver the game we envision as both developers and players, we’ll need more time.
