  • One Year Anniversary - thank you for playing! - 19 March 2026

It goes without saying that I enjoyed making Opus Cortex. It also goes without saying that all of you really enjoyed it as well - 54% of the players completed the game! And solved all of the puzzles!Wow, just... I'm speechless! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! While the story of Nono is complete, I've been working on another visual novel game with nonograms, but you'll have to wait a bit longer until I have something ready to share with you.In the meantime, please enjoy bug fixes and quality of live improvements - main callout based on the feedback from reviews: if you back out of the levels the game will now store the progress you made so far and when you reload the level again you'll have your previous solution handy. I also fixed few bugs that I found in the process related to coming back and forth between levels. There's also now a version number in the bottom left corner in the…

  • Opus Cortex is now available in JA, ZH, ES and DE languages! - 12 November 2025

The game is now localized to German, Japanese, Spanish and Traditional Chinese! While I have worked with external company to get the translations ready, huge shoutout to my friends listed in Special Thanks section who helped me verify the quality of the translations. I could not do this without you!If you are playing the game in any of these languages and find a bug or issue with the translation - please do not hesitate to reach out to me! This is the first time I'm doing localization into languages I cannot speak myself (does Duolingo count? I did Spanish and I'm now doing Japanese xD), so it's something that I'm hoping works well and you will be able to follow the story of Opus Cortex in your language. Thanks for playing the game!- Mateusz

  • Summer is here - update for July 2025 - 27 July 2025

Level too hard? Select a different one! We've added the most requested by players new feature that allows you to back out to the level selection screen and pick a different level. If you find yourself stuck, you can use the arrow in the bottom left corner to go back to the level selection phase and pick a different level instead. Please note that all progress you've made in the current level will be lost. All the characters are here! We're super excited to present a new artwork, that highlights the cast of characters from Opus Cortex!

  • Wishlist Bookie today, our next game! - 17 June 2025

I'm thrilled to announce the next game that I've been working on called Bookie! It's a card roguelike game with horse racing theme in the background - you are drafting cards, upgrading existing ones and getting charms that impact the outcome of the races. Choose wisely which horse will win the race and you might earn coins, which you can then spend on further changing the cards at your disposal. Collect trophies and win the championship by correctly predicting which horse wins!

  • Minor patch fixes in May - 30 May 2025

This update brings a small set of bug fixes for issues reported by the players. Thank you for playing the game, and if you encounter any issues please do not hesitate to let me know so I can fix it!

  • Now you can undo/redo your moves! - 27 April 2025

I have heard from multiple players that they'd love to be able to undo/redo their moves. At first I was skeptical, since it's sooo simple to just mark things differently... Until I realized that it's simple to do that using mouse - but on controllers and SteamDeck, navigating to a field that you modified in the other corner of the board actually takes a lot of input to navigate. So now you can simply press the "undo" button and the most recent move will be reverted. As long as you don't make any new moves, you can move backwards and forwards using the undo/redo functionality, all the way to the beginning of the level. If you do make a new move, the "redo" option becomes unavailable, as at this point you started creating new path. It's important to note that the undo history is not saved when you quit the game, it's similar to e.g. text editors, where the history is per session only, and…

  • Full SteamDeck support + minor bug fixes - 24 March 2025

Thanks to everyone who has played the game so far! I'm beyond grateful seeing the achievements statistics which shows that 30% of the people who played my game have actually completed it! This update brings a few improvements, the biggest one is full SteamDeck support. The game worked on SteamDeck from day one, but there was small issue related to the resolution setting that would prevent the mouse cursor from going outside of the native SteamDeck resolution, and thus in certain areas of the game you would not be able to select the next level that could be in the bottom or right side of the screen! (it's actually a bug in Godot engine that I have submitted in the past, still waiting to be fixed) The workaround was to use small collision box on top of the mouse cursor and perform collision checks - instead of relying on the hardware mouse and the "on mouse entered" type of events. I have…
