  Thank you everyone for your continued support!Bug fixes: You can no longer go into the Target View mode at the end of battle.New Features:You can now save the game between chapter 1 and chapter 2 - there are a fair few cutscenes during this (+ a potential cardgame), so there is now a breather if you so desire.Added the Enemy Codex. After fighting an enemy, the party will write about their encounter, as described in one of the Skits during Chapter 2. These descriptions should help explain the Welsh myth behind many of the enemy names and designs, delivered fully in-world by the characters.Diolch!- Devi

  Thank you for supporting Toward Dawn. All the feedback has meant the world to me! This patch is focused on adding some extras to the Dragon's Guard cardgame. Added new card (Flagbearer) - Buffs ally power. Added new card (Jester) - Specialises in swapping the rear/front guard positions. Added new card (Gwyllgi) - High HP card that deals increased damage the longer it survives. Added new card (Llamhigyn) - Debuffs enemy power. Added new card (Twrch Trwyth) - Deals damage back to an enemy when taking damage. Added new Dragon card (Arianrhod) - Specialises in shields for her team. Added new Dragon card (Bleiddwn) - Supports Beast cards. Added new Dragon card (Gwydion) - Specialises in moving opponent cards around.   Thank you very much for your support! The following issues have been fixed: Fixed some collision and layering issues in : Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 8. Fixed the flame not appearing in the Trial of Power during chapter 8, unless you loaded a save. The tree upgrades will now show what effects they will have, even if you are currently unable to unlock it. Skits should now be quicker to activate when conditions are met. Various skit hints have been improved to give some clearer instructions. Sew Seed is no longer blocked by Buffer. Fix for Flight status icon being missing. Fix for saves where Bleddyn/Idwal are not correctly added to the party. Fixed naming issue for Bleddyn's Knife Throw / Bouncing Knife abilities. My main aim with this game was to explore and share a culture and mythology I love, as well as pay homage to games of my childhood, and seeing the response has been truly lovely. Change log: You can now load saves from the old NextFest demo, though there is a warning if you are doing so. Fixed a bug where Bleddyn would potentially rejoin the party before he is meant to in Chapter 5. Fixed a bug that prevented Habren's portrait from appearing correctly. • Toward Dawn - Available Now! - 8 May 2025

  The full game of Toward Dawn is now available! Thank you for all the support. This game has been a passion of mine for the last 14 months, and it means so much as a solo dev to hear all the feedback so far. I hope that you enjoy the full story.   With the full release of Toward Dawn tomorrow, the demo has now been updated. This demo contains all the polished content for the main release. Saves from this demo can be carried forward to the full game. • Toward Dawn Demo - Linux Patch - 9 March 2025

  Shwmae friends! Thank you so much for the lovely feedback on the Next Fest demo, I hope that you are looking forward to the full release! I am extremely grateful for you support and reviews - this is my first game and it is entirely solo-developed and self funded - and to have people play the game, enjoy the story and embrace the Welsh myths and references has been very humbling. This small update should address some of the more common concerns that were brought up. Added a Linux package for the demo. I am unfortunately unable to test this myself, so let me know if it all works correctly! Hopefully it will solve some of the issues that came up before. • Next Fest Demo Update - 25 February 2025

  Steam Next Fest is here, and so is the major demo update. Here is a brief rundown of the updates: Battle Updates Experience a new perspective in battle! Carys and Bleddyn as well as all enemies, backgrounds, and animations have been updated. This was more in line with my original intentions for the game, and I hope that you enjoy the battles more so with how they look and feel! In addition to looks, some mechanics have also changed. Carys now has access to Incantations. This allows her to combine two of her spells into a new ability, expanding her versatility greatly. This includes the abilities she can gain via equipment, so experiment to find your favourite combination! Bleddyn can consume all of his Mana to Empower his next ability. This increases the damage or effects (such as making it go from single to multi target), and the more mana consumed, the stronger the result. While the f…
