Courtesy of Arc System Works themselves, the epitome of the Guilty Gear XX series is now available on PC for the first time ever! ArcSys fans have been showing their support ever since Guilty Gear Isuka crept onto Steam early last year, and their requests for new ports haven't fallen on deaf ears. In fact, +R may only be the beginning... ArcSys has assembled a new team dedicating themselves to all things Steam, and their community manager has been very active on +R's discussion hub. If you decide to pick up +R yourself, tell him how you feel about the port! Ask questions! You'll get answers. http://i.imgur.com/clwYT0u.jpg To celebrate the release of the Steam Music Player, Guilty Gear X2 #Reload now comes bundled with its two-disc Original Soundtrack for no extra charge! Encoded in MP3 at over double the bitrate of the OGG files used ingame, you should find these a little more pleasant on the ears and convenient for the playlists. You can find the soundtrack in the Guilty Gear X2 Reload folder in your steam/steamapps/common directory. If you opt to listen to #Reload's music through the Steam Music Player, Steam should automatically detect the soundtrack and add it to your game music library the next time a music scan is performed.

Players of #Reload will now periodically receive trading card drops which they can craft into rewards to adorn their profiles and chat windows. THANKS AGAIN to all the fans of #Reload who have been steadily pouring in since the Steam release (and more notably, since the creation of a fanmade netplay patch for the Steam release of #Reload)! You guys are awesome, and ggxxnet's lobbies have not seen this much action in quite awhile. I hope the cards inspire even more players to come around and try their mettle online! I'll be waiting, with my awful day-one Faust.

Guilty Gear X2 #Reload's lack of native online multiplayer proved to be a rather large elephant in the room, and not something that we wanted to accept for its Steam release. After exhausting every option available to us regarding implementing netplay, I was certain that nothing could be done. Fortunately, I was proven wrong! Through the efforts of a dedicated fan, ggxxnet, a netplay fanpatch that formerly only worked on Japanese retail copies of #Reload, now works on all versions of #Reload, including the Steam release. ggxxnet itself is an amazing modification; not ONLY content in providing online multiplayer, it adds replays, a palette editor, adjustable input delay, match spectating, and it even fixes some ex…
