It's been a long time coming, and I hope you all get to see what I have in store! Honestly, I'm not really sure what else to say here, other than thank you to everyone who supported me and the project along the way, I absolutely wouldn't have made it to a full release without your input. I'm proud of what I've done here, and it's all thanks to you! With that aside, let's move on to what the 1.0 release actually entails. If you're looking to experience everything blind, look no further! Patch Notes Added the fifth and final world, along with it's associated boss, and the ending! - DASHPUNCH 1.0 Releases MARCH 10th! - 9 March 2026
Hello again, it's been too long! Better late than never, huh? But yes, you read that right, DASHPUNCH is finally leaving Early Access! I didn't come up with a fancy title for this one like i did with Nightmare Forge or Mezztik's Marvels; to me, Release 1.0 says everything it needs to. It's the finalized version of the game (give or take a potential hotfix or two), and the end of the roadmap plans. There's also a new trailer on the store page to mark the occasion, go check it out! I don't have much more to say right now, but mark your calendars for March 10th!

- Early Access 1.2: Nightmare Forge - 10 October 2025
Hello again! Been awhile! It's a week or so late, but it's here! The Nightmare Forge update is now available for everyone on Steam to play, if they want. Scary! But such is the nature of game dev. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it! So what's in the Nightmare Forge update? Mostly everything that was in the last roadmap, although a ways in, some plans got rearranged as usual. In particular, the "New Pact Coin Use" ended up being WAY more in-depth than previously planned, so a few things were pushed back in exchange, a few plans scaled down, et cetera. I promise the new stuff is just as cool though! Anyway, I've once again update the roadmap, seen here: On to the new content! World 4: Splintered Underworld A fourth world has been added to DASHPUNCH! The first since Early Access started, a fully-featured new area is now available to fight through. Once a hotspot for local Crow cults to enact…

- Patch 1.1.8 - Summer Cleaning - 18 July 2025
Hello! DoubleV here, I've decided to push an update for a number of systems I've been working on along the road to the Nightmare Forge update. It's nothing too major, just a lot of fixes for stat calculations, various crashes and input issues, and fixes to common pain points. Here's the notes! 1.1.8 - Summer Cleaning New: Geogem of the Armory - Removes your current artifact and gives you a choice of three others Changed the way "ground area" indicators detect a cancelled attack, should prevent a lot of "phantom" indicators that would appear when certain enemies were interrupted Items that are "linked" (disappear when another is taken), now have a visual indicator to show this Fixed a number of crashes related to orbitals, grappled enemies and a few other things Fixed a number of issues related to gamepad stick inputs in menus Fixed certain Geogems requiring the wrong number of held item…
- Roadmap Update #2: Nightmare Forge! - 20 May 2025
Hello friends! I hope the Scarlet Incursion update has been a nice little set of improvements; I had to do some minor bugfixing after release but things seem to be in working order for now. I know it wasn't a super huge content update, but I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out. But more importantly, I mentioned in the last post that I'd be updating the roadmap again before I set off on what *will* be a big content update, so here it is! Early Access 1.2 has been officially named the Nightmare Forge update, and as I said before as well, will release in Q3 of this year unless something terrible happens. Which it shouldn't. Hopefully. Anyway here it is: Nightmare Forge will be the first major content update since the release of DASHPUNCH Early Access (Mezztik's Marvels was a lot of QoL and system improvements), so that's pretty exciting! It'll add a new world, complete with new ene…
- Early Access Update 1.11: Scarlet Incursion - 14 May 2025
Hello again! It's been a few weeks longer than I expected. Today I'm pleased to announce that the Scarlet Incursion update is finally out! As a smaller update it was initially planned to release last month, but as some of you may have seen on the official DASHPUNCH socials, some technical issues got in the way, among other busyness. With those out of the way, onward to the patch notes! Gameplay: Boss 3 has been rebuilt from the ground up to be more in line with the difficulty curve, at least in terms of attack patterns. I'll likely be tweaking their exact numbers in the coming days/weeks based on feedback, but they should feel a lot more fun to fight now! There is now an arrow on the right side of the pause screen, that takes you to a new menu to view your current Legacy Upgrades. This should give a better idea of what the upgrade trees look like, as well as keep better track of what yo…
- Roadmap Update - 7 April 2025
Hey again! It's been about a week since Mezztik's Marvels dropped last week, I hope everyone's been enjoying it! Personally, I've been taking that time to keep and eye out for bugs to squash while I took a small break from dev work, but as of writing, progress as resumed. I mentioned in the last few patch notes that a couple features originally intended for Mezztik's Marvels had to be pushed back to a smaller update scheduled for this month, and that update now has an official name: Scarlet Incursion. I've added it to the roadmap, seen here. The Scarlet Incursion update is primarily about addressing some leftover design pain points that proved a bit too heavy for the tail-end of Mezztik's Marvels' development, as well as a small amount of new content to explore. Featuring more in-game documentation, a redesigned third boss, and maybe a little more, I don't expect it to delay any of the…

- Early Access Update 1.1: Mezztik's Marvels - 27 March 2025
Mezztik's Marvels is OUT! The first of three roadmap updates is finally here, bringing along major QoL changes, new content, new and better visuals, and much much more! As stated in past announcements and the roadmap, Mezztik's Marvels is an update focused on gameplay and systems polish. While that does mean there's no new story chapter, there's still plenty of new content to cover, so let's dive in! The Quick Rundown: A staggering 29 new items, very nearly doubling the total item pool 5 new Chakras to unlock, featuring some much-requested additions to spend those Pact Coins on, along with some changes to a few existing chakras Over 30 new room layouts! You can loop runs after beating Scarlett now, if the relevant Chakra is unlocked A map screen, complete with "fog of war" and fast travel to any room you've visited! All Chakras can be optionally disabled for more customizability! A new…
- Mezztik's Marvels Releases MARCH 27th!! - 20 March 2025
Hey again! It's been a few weeks since the last announcement related to the upcoming update, Mezztik's Marvels. I've still been hard at work on the update, and without further ado I'm pleased to announce that a release date is finally here! March 27th, to be exact. I was almost worried I wouldn't make the Q1 timeframe I initially planned during the roadmap, but we made it! Pretty much all the major new content and features are ready to go, all that remains is cleaning up a few small things and testing. The list of new stuff has grown pretty significantly at this point, so I hope people have fun with it when the time comes! Also of note, there's been a small tweak to the roadmap plans. There were a small handful of tweaks and features I'd been planning for Mezztik's Marvels that weren't actually on the roadmap at all; most notably a rework to the third boss to address some design flaws (…
- 2/28 Progress Update, Mezztik's Marvels - 28 February 2025
Hey all! It's been awhile since I last posted anything about last year's roadmap (or anything at all, oops), but I'm pleased to say that it's mostly just been a result of being so busy working on it. But rest assured, it is coming, and is currently planned to release sometime next month! I actually planned to make this announcement about a month ago, but as with any of these "soft" tasks, I always find it hard to justify spending time that could otherwise go towards development. Sorry for the dry spell! Anyway, let's get in to what the Mezztik's Marvels update actually does so far, because it's a long list! And of course, I won't be spoiling *everything*, some of it you'll just have to play and discover on your own. Let's dive in! Mezztik's Marvels is, at it's core, one part optimization/cleanup and one part content; compared to future updates, this means it's more about quality of life…
- DASHPUNCH Roadmap, and Moving On to 2025 - 31 December 2024
Hello everyone! About a week ago I mentioned that I'd be taking a short break and getting back to work around New Year's, starting with putting up a nice roadmap for DASHPUNCH's life as an Early Access Indie Roguelike™ on Steam. While the whole "break" plan only had some limited success (as some of you may have noticed by the continuous bugfixing), the roadmap is here! And as a little bonus, the name of the first major update: Mezztik's Marvels. As you can see, Early Access is planned to have three major updates before launching into full release. The exact timing of when these will happen is only a loose prediction; as a single dev it's hard to pin down exactly how long future content will take to make, so take them with a healthy grain of salt. That said, let's dive in! Mezztik's Marvels, the first on the list, is an update all about bones. Not literally though; I'm taking about the s…
