  Hi everyone! Recently, I've had new people try Arrowman which resulted in new feedback! I am very happy with how the game was received, but I also wanted to address the issues I've noticed while watching people play. Therefore, this new version of the demo addresses many quality of life improvements as well as tweaks to have the overall experience of the demo be closer to the real version of the game.Here are the changes for the 1.1.0. version of the demo:· When pressing the continue button while in dialogue, it will first show the whole dialogue instead of skipping it.· First double jump platform is easier now.· Jumping takes you higher.· Keybinding options have is more exhaustive.· Logo in main menu updated.· Camera movement is smoother.· Camera zooms out when reaching certain areas.· Camera movement follows the mouse position.· Added notifications for opening bows menu and mask menu.…

  Hello everyone! I am happy to announce that while waiting for the release of the game you may enjoy the demo with cool new features and content!The demo now has a whole new area with a boss (which I won’t spoil here) which showcases two new arrow types! New area is called the Veiled Island and it’s a secret place used by an ancient Arrowman long time ago. You can reach that area after picking up the second mask.Screenshot shows the Veiled IslandOn your way to the Veiled Island you will learn how to use new arrows one of which is a teleport arrow.   Hello all! Your feedback from playing the demo has been amazing and it is helping me improve the game!Update 0.2.2 for the demo is focused mainly on fixing bugs.Bugs fixed:Players could jump on newly shot arrows resulting in an infinite jump loop.When remapping keys, UI fade was offset.Minor sound fixes.Ballista were too frictionless so it was challenging to stand on them.Arrows would sometimes appear in front of the foreground decorations.Ambient sound would stop without a fade out.Frame rate would drop when loading an ambient sound.When defeating one “eye” enemy in a nightmare zone and then losing, eyes in the UI would not correctly show the number of “eye” enemies when entering a nightmare zone again.Arrows would sometimes hit the ground but look as if they are floating above it.   Hello everyone,I am so excited to finally let you play Arrowman! After a long year of on and off development, the DEMO is out! There is also a big visual change from the last time you saw Arrowman.The demo lets you play the first area of the game, and it includes the first boss encounter. Take your bow and defeat some Nightmares!There is still a lot to develop before the whole game is out, but I can't wait to see you play this demo and hear your feedback!

• 6 Months Since the First Playable! - 21 September 2024

  The time has come to tell you a little bit about the origin of this game! As a lecturer of programming video games (in Unity), I like to set the expectations for the course early. That's why I love making games, uploading them, and then showing them as an example of what my course has to offer you. And one of those projects just happened to be Arrowman! :) These are the games that my students create by the end of the course. Even though I have been working full time for almost 4 months now, it's been 6 months since the first playable of Arrowman. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue working on it, but the more I improved on the prototype, it made sense to go into full production of the game. It all clicked when I made arrows stick into walls and then stand there as a platform for players to jump on. Now the game has changed quite a bit, and I still hope to improve a lot more!…

  Hello ArrowPeople! I am very excited to show you Arrowman, the game I have been solo developing, so please, welcome it on Steam! It’s a faced-paced adventure game set in the world filled with Nightmares. These creatures are making the world more hostile, so prepare for action! Arrowman takes inspiration from combat focused games as well as from platformer metroidvanias, so expect a bit of both! This will be it for now, but expect more information about the game soon :) See ya!
