- Commentary Ahoy! - 13 September 2019
Developer commentary We have updated Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet with a developer's commentary. Alasdair Beckett-King and real Nelly (aka Rachel) sat down and recorded funny and interesting background information. The audio tracks unlock as you play and you can listen to them whenever you want. This may be a good reason to play the game again if you have finished it already or another reason to buy it if you haven't bought it yet. Gamepad support Now the version for PC, Mac and Linux supports gamepad/controller input. For PC it should work with standard XBOX and compatible controllers. We know that there are many controllers out there, so we can't promise all of them will work. We did our best to support most models and picked a very popular library to add controller support. For macOS it depends what kind of controller you have and how it is supported by system extensions. XBOX comp…

- Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! HD is coming to Steam - 4 March 2018
Hundreds of years ago in 2007, the first Nelly Cootalot adventure 'Spoonbeaks Ahoy!' was released. Developed in Adventure Game Studio, it had a resolution of 640 x 480 (which honestly seemed hi-res at the time). We've decided to give the game a much needed makeover and we're remastering it in 1920 x 1080 HD and bringing it to Steam. Help Nelly rescue endangered wildfowl and uncover wanton punning in the Barony of Meeth. Acquire morally dubious items on behalf of minor aristocrats; intercept the private correspondences of a daredevil pilot; come to the aid of downtrodden supernatural beings; be confused by obscure colloquialisms; borrow facial hair from long-dead pirates and wantonly misuse the word 'borrow'. Navigate over to the product page and put it on your wish list.

- The Merry End Of The World In Unforeseen Incidents - 28 June 2016
The end of humanity is nigh but ah, there’s always time for a few giggles. Unforeseen Incidents is an upcoming adventure game set just before the end of the world, with a deadly virus sweeping the globe and some strange conspiracy afoot. As most adventure games seem to be, it’s inspired by lightheared ’90s adventures. Unforeseen Incidents comes to my attention through its Steam Greenlight campaign but what’s caught my eye is the pleasing sketchy art style. Go on, have a look – I’m especially fond of that petrol station sign and the ovoid pool balls. …

- Hands On: Nelly Cootalot The Fowl Fleet - 10 March 2016
RPS had barely gotten started when free point-and-click adventure Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy appeared in 2007. I adored it, and it appeared in our first ever advent calendar . So in 2013, when a Kickstarter was announced to fund a full-length sequel, Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet , we demanded you fund it. You did, and with additional funding from snazzily named publishers Application Systems, the game is coming out on the 22nd. Yesterday I sat down in a Starbucks with creator Alasdair Beckett-King and had a play. …
