  • Quick Hotfix for Spinning Blade Artifact - 14 December 2024

Spinning Blade ("Attacking Provides a Stacking Speed Buff Until the End of Combat") was previously 'remembering' the total speed gained across an entire run, removing that value at the end of every combat. So if a character gained 5 speed during a combat they would lose that speed at the end of the fight. Then during the next fight if they gained another 5 speed they would now lose 10 speed at the end of the fight resulting in a net loss that only got worse as the run progressed. It now behaves as intended, removing only the speed that was gained during the current battle.

  • Hotfix #1 - 12 December 2024

There was a progression blocking bug preventing players from leaving the first boss fight after successfully defeating it. This was embarrassingly one of the same bugs that caused the original delay that I had fixed, but I apparently managed to reimplement it while addressing other issues. The problem should now be resolved and progress should be possible. If you're encountering this issue be sure that you're on the latest update by closing and re-opening Steam.

  • Pleasure Delving is Available Now! - 12 December 2024

Available and Ready to Play! After tearing through the game code several times, unplugging and plugging back in various plugins and packages, the game is now in a drastically less buggy state! There is of course always the possibility of bugs still remaining, as well as a few minor known issues (such as animations looping oddly the first time they play in certain scenes), but I'm optimistic that the majority of plays should have a bug-free experience in game now! Balance updates too! This is less meaningful to the majority of players since the game's encounters were entirely reworked since the demo build anyways, but while going through and triple-checking the game to find and fix any bugs I decided it was worthwhile to try to smooth out some of the game's challenge. Ultimately the game is still RNG dependent (by design) so failing to find good equipment can still doom a run, but by and…

  • Unfortunate delay while the last bugs are squashed - 6 December 2024

Last minute delays! It's unfortunate that it has to happen, but unfortunately there are some nasty bugs affecting the game's achievements and unlocks that I really want to make sure are completely fixed before the game is publicly launched. Although the game is fully playable (and fun!) in its current state, I worry that letting the game release now could result in players losing progress or having broken achievements after the bugs are resolved. It seems much more prudent to delay the game until I'm sure scenes are displaying in the correct order and achievements are unlocking at the appropriate times. My sincerest apologies if today's launch was something you were eagerly anticipating, but hopefully this will make it so the game is in the best shape it can be when it releases! So, when is the new release date? It's impossible to say with any certainty! I was really confident that the…
