- Update 0.6.25 - 25 June 2026
Adjustments Added a new exploration point: Community Center. Adjusted some drop rates. Bug Fixes Fixed incorrect cooling bonus values in extreme weather conditions. Fixed collision blocking issues on some doors in the warehouse.
- Update 0.6.21 - 20 June 2026
Adjustments Adjusted the calculation method for ambient temperature so that the temperature drop is kept within a more reasonable range. The main change is that the temperature follows an S‑shaped decline curve over time. Over a survival period of 48 days, the temperature drops slowly in the early and late stages, while the decline is faster in the middle. The day‑night temperature difference gradually decreases as the days progress. The cooling effect caused by wind speed has also been significantly reduced.
- Update 0.6.19 - 19 June 2026
Adjustments Optimized melee movement animations – holding a melee weapon no longer feels too stiff. Farming: Added several new crops such as radishes, beets, cucumbers, etc. Cooking: Added several new recipes. New dishes require farmed crops and meat as ingredients, and corresponding cooking tools like frying pans and stew pots. Added a new campfire that can hold a simple large pot for stewing and boiling. The campfire can be crafted in the crafting menu. Snow accumulation: Added a plastic cup as a container for collecting snow. When held outdoors and aimed at the ground, you can collect snow to use as a substitute for water. Exploration points: Added old warehouse, small boat dock, and repair shop, located near the coastal area. Temporary workaround: If your character gets stuck in geometry, you can now find an option in the pause menu to return to the respawn point, which teleports yo…

Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when searching. Fixed terrain errors on the third map. Fixed an issue where zombies would spawn on various strange terrains.
- Update 0.6.4 - 4 June 2026
There haven‘t been any updates in the past few days because I’ve been working on optimizing combat and trying to improve the feel of the combat system. This work is not yet finished, but several bugs have piled up from player feedback, so I‘m releasing an update to fix them first. (I’m encountering some difficulties with the bug where the game freezes when searching for furniture inside rooms – it will take a little more time. I‘ll fix it as soon as possible, perhaps in the next update.)Preliminary adjustments have been made to melee combat actions and judgment logic. Currently, the melee actions have some flaws, and the attack feel hasn’t been greatly improved yet. First-person animations also have matching issues. These will be resolved as soon as possible. At the same time, gun sound effects and performance will also be adjusted and improved.OptimizationAdjusted melee combat. Now, in…

Apologies first: It has been four days since release. During these four days, thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions. At the same time, I am sorry that the game is meeting you in this state – bugs, optimization issues, and lack of content have caused a poor gaming experience. Regarding bugs, I am working hard to collect and fix them. Optimization will also be completed in the coming days, and content will be filled in subsequent updates. As a solo developer, I may not be able to cover every aspect of the game, so I look forward to more feedback and suggestions. I will strive to improve the game and optimize the experience. Frequent updates are expected this week. I apologize again if this bothers you. Once performance optimization and bug fixes meet expectations, I will slow down the update frequency (e.g., once a week), focusing mainly on adding new game content. Adjustm…

- Demo Update Log - 3 February 2026
Content Updates 1. Woodcutting Visual Optimization: Woodcutting is now divided into two stages. After reaching a preset damage threshold, the first stage is triggered: a tree stump and trunk are generated, with the trunk falling to produce items. The second stage involves destroying the stump to generate additional items. 2. Cooking System Rework: Cooking now requires waiting for a completion timer that cannot be skipped. The system is split into two components: a heat source and cooking tools. The heat source only provides the prerequisite for cooking, while the cooking tool determines the available recipes. · (Note: Recipe-related assets are not yet complete and will be added later. Currently, only boiling water and roasting meat are available.) · Boiling Water: Requires placing an empty can on the heat source and selecting "Heat" from the list (e.g., to produce hot water). · Roasting…
- Demo Launch Announcement! - 21 January 2026
Dear Players, Thank you for your patience! The demo is now complete and will be released on Steam at 6:00 PM HST on January 21st. As the game is entirely developed by me alone, there may be some imperfections—your understanding is greatly appreciated. In the demo, you will experience: Survive in a freezing world where temperatures steadily drop. Scavenge for supplies in already-looted ruins, gather fuel to withstand blizzards and extreme cold, and fend off hordes of zombies drawn to your flames. Your best hope is to build a mobile safehouse—find a usable vehicle, upgrade it into a moving fortress, travel from area to area, and search for clues to escape this nightmare. Finally, if you enjoy the game, please consider adding it to your wishlist and recommending it to friends. Your support will make a huge difference. Thank you so much!
- Winter Survivor Protocol - Delay Announcement & Development Log Update - 10 October 2025
Dear Survivors, I am the producer of Winter Survivor Protocol. First and foremost, I must offer you my sincerest apologies. We originally planned to release a Demo during the Steam Next Fest on October 13th, but this plan needs to be postponed. The primary reasons for the delay are as follows: After confirming our participation in the Next Fest, the game's development encountered some unforeseen technical challenges, particularly regarding performance and the design of certain systems. These issues caused the gameplay content and feature development for the first map to fall short of the goals I had set for myself. This is also why the previous testing phase was arranged somewhat hastily. The feedback gathered from this testing was incredibly valuable, but it also confirmed my concerns: in its current state,强行 participating in the Next Fest would likely fail to leave a good first impres…
