- New zen mode! - 2 December 2025
I thought this new mode might fit the game well for people who just want to type in peace without the pressure. It's basically an endless mode without a losing condition, so it's truly endless. To end this mode you have to quit through the pause menu which I've noticed no one probably used. Since there was a quite big problem with it and no one told me about it.. That should be fixed too now. Hope at least some people will enjoy this new mode. Have fun!
- Multiplayer Feature out! - 21 September 2025
I've added a multiplayer feature to this game. It's quite simple, but now you can play against your friends or random people on the internet. But it's basically just crunch mode with some extra features. You can send distractions and extra documents to the other players while also see their current progress. It can be tested now already on the beta branch. I will probably release it soon to the main branch in the coming week. I've also fixed some smaller issues: - Improve game start workflow - Add cjk font fallback - Explain discard mechanic better - Allow mouse changes when paused
- Minor fixes and improvements - 15 September 2025
A many requested improvement has finally be implemented! At least to some degree. Many complaint that they can't read the letters below the active one when there are too many documents. It wasn't just as easy as changing the color or adding an outline to all of them. It would just make it too messy to even read the active document. So the somewhat acceptable solution for me was to just make the second document readable by adding a not so bright outline to it. That way you can at least read a bit further than the current document. Making this change motivated me somehow to work on another features I had planned, so there might be a bigger update in the future to look out for :)
- Supporting older hardware - 15 April 2025
Hey there, just a quick update for the folks using older hardware. I didn't notice this until I looked up some reason for refunding, but apparently people couldn't run the game because of some video driver issues. I didn't expect to encounter this issue since I thought most hardware should already support this driver version or at least that the game would automatically switch to the older version. But this wasn't the case until just recently, so I had to update the game engine that I'm using to the latest version and now older hardware should also be able to run this game, hopefully. I'm not sure how the performance is going to be though. I've also adjusted the default volume for the music since it seems for some people it might be too low that they don't even notice that there is any sound. Another thing I might have fixed is that the game should now use its own icon instead of the ga…
- Thank you for all the feedback! - 22 February 2025
There were more people than expected that played this game. I am really glad that so many people seem to enjoy the game and thank you for all the feedback which helped my find some bugs and improve on some other parts of the game. I tried to fix as many as I could but unfortunately I couldn't figure out all of them. I might need to improve the way of sending feedback to get more information. Nevertheless I have fixed and improved quite a few things in this update. There were surprisingly a lot of players from China and the font I use does not support the language which causes some UI problems. But there is not much I can do about it. At least it can still be shown and most of the stuff still works. Anyway here are the changes for this update: Word Lists The biggest change what many people have requested is different language support. So I tried to add something like that, but there is u…
- Game is out now! - 11 February 2025
The game is finally out! This grew larger than expected, but I think it can be called finished now. I still had some other ideas planned like a multiplayer mode or more support for mods to add more languages or customize other stuff. But I don’t think it’s really worth the time right now, maybe if there is enough interest for some stuff. Now I want to focus on my many other games ideas that I have and hopefully make something even better next time. This game taught me that I should not just go for a game idea without a clear goal in mind or without enough play testing the idea. So if you would like to help out in that regard, my discord server is open to everyone!
- New Demo Build - 20 January 2025
I've now uploaded the final demo build of the game which contains some bigger changes to the gameplay. Main changes includes: Purchasable items which makes the game a bit easier (2 out of 5 in the demo) Rework of the UI and menus to fit the theme better Changes to the promotion system and difficulty curve. Should make it easier for everyone to reach a higher level. I'm hopefully now feature-complete and be able to release the full game soon. There is still an optional multiplayer mode that I thought of but I will decide to do it based on the interest of other people and my motivation :)
- Small Demo Update - 27 October 2024
The Steam NEXT fest has ended and there has been more players than expected. I thought I would get drowned by all the other games and would have no chance without marketing. Maybe typing games are just a niche that interested players will still find. So I have a small update and improvements for the demo version of the game. Some I noticed myself after playing and seeing all your scores. Also some feedback of yours has helped me improving the game. Leaderboard A major point was also that you lost your leaderboard rank if you start a new game which defeats the purpose of the leaderboard. I don't know why I did that, maybe because I didn't have a way to save the score. But I've now added a local score too, so you can now try to beat your own score. I changed the friends leaderboard to local ranks. I don't think it makes sense to show the global rank there. I did a rework of the leaderboar…
