  The new Alteatio update is now available, bringing a set of improvements focused on making the adventure smoother, clearer, and more enjoyable from start to finish. In this version, we have fixed several resolution-related issues so the game displays better across different screen sizes and aspect ratios, reducing visual problems and improving the overall presentation. We have also worked on performance tweaks and general optimization, resulting in a more stable and efficient experience in a wide range of gameplay situations.The biggest addition in this update is the new mission panel, created to help guide players through the story in a much more intuitive way. As you progress through the game, the active mission will update automatically, showing you your next objective and making it easier to follow the narrative, explore the world, and keep advancing without losing track of the jour…

• Noise Mechanic Modified - 2 February 2026

  We’ve just rolled out an updated build of Alteratio with several improvements based on your feedback. This version includes adjustments to the noise mechanic to make it feel clearer and more consistent, along with additional optimization work for smoother performance. We’ve also implemented extra security and stability measures to help ensure a safer, more reliable experience overall. Thank you to everyone who shared suggestions and reports — we’re listening, and we’ll keep refining the game with each update.

  New build available on Steam! This update focuses on robustness, visual readability, and systemic tuning. High-level details: Performance Reworked asset streaming and texture compression with a new preset to minimize I/O spikes. Reduced GC spikes (transient allocations) in critical loops and FX systems. Lightweight parallelization with Jobs/Burst where applicable. Graphics & Visibility Recalibrated exposure curves and eye adaptation; improved tonemapping for localized darkness.
