- Coven Update: Perks of the Coven - 20 September 2026
In-match Perks arrive: earn XP as you fight and pick spell-specific upgrades three times a round. Around them, a full combat-feedback pass (hit markers, hit sounds, floating damage numbers, kill feed), a spell balance pass across every sage, Play of the Match replays, daily/weekly/monthly Rewards, Quick Match, bot difficulty, equippable titles, and a large batch of new enchantments. Perks New: in-match Perks. Kills, assists, damage, healing and objective plays earn perk XP for your sage. Reach a level and a notifier pulses on the HUD; open the offer (P / D-pad down) and pick one of two cards (Q / E or the shoulder buttons). Three levels per round, and perks reset at the start of every round so each round is a fresh climb. Every perk enhances one specific spell or the ultimate: more damage, a wider area, a longer duration, an extra charge, golem, echo or arrow. Each sage has five perks (…
- Coven Update: Shadows Lifted - 24 August 2026
Sages & Combat Umbral Sage: fixed being permanently silenced. Dying while Shadow Cloak was active left the "cloaked" state stuck on forever — every spell and ultimate press for the rest of the match was silently ignored. Cloak state is now fully restored on death, and a round-start safety net guarantees no stuck cast-lockout can ever carry into a new round. Shadow Cloak no longer quietly drains your move speed on class swaps. Spells that fizzle (not enough mana, carrying an objective) no longer count as casts. Game Modes Round enchantments fixed. A hidden error during between-round cleanup could cancel ALL enchantments for the round — and on the host, also skip enabling player controls and powerup spawns. Enchantments now apply reliably, and one bad enchantment can never take the rest down with it. Fixed a crash at round end that could hang the whole room on the summary screen. Scoreboa…
- Coven Update: The Quiet Covens - 23 August 2026
Coven Allegiances Coven passive perks are disabled for now. Your coven is still part of your identity, but the hidden stat bonuses no longer apply while we rebalance them: Belladonna's +75 max health, Hemlock's faster respawns, Echinacea's heal over time, and Oleander's poison that struck back at attackers. Coven selection screens are unchanged for now; a UI refresh for allegiances is coming separately. Controller Rumble Fixed rumble that never stopped. Dying to a spell just as the round ended — or being hit by several spells at once on the killing blow — could leave your controller vibrating until you closed the game. Rumble is now guaranteed to end. Rumble hard-stops the moment you die, the round ends, a new round starts, you leave a match, or the game loses focus (alt-tab, minimize). Fixed a case where the wrong controller kept rumbling forever when more than one controller (or Steam…
- Coven Update: Broom Service - 14 August 2026
Bot Fixes Bots respawn at their team's spawn points now (with a tiny offset so they don't stack), instead of scattering to random spots on the map. Inferno Surge actually surges — bot Pyromystics were laying their whole fire trail standing still; they now rocket forward like the player cast. Walls rise to full height — bot Stone Walls and Glacial Barriers were coming up half-buried; they now stand as tall as player walls, and Glacial segments chain along the aim line like the player cast. Fixed bots freezing in place while still attacking — a movement latch could get stuck after knockbacks/stuns; bots now self-recover instantly. Gameplay Fixes Resource Scarcity fixed — it was permanently wiping resource spawns (and getting worse every round) and could stop other enhancements from firing entirely. Resources now return when it ends, every time, and one misbehaving enhancement can no longe…
- Coven Update: Gathering of Sages - 12 August 2026
Party Up (New Feature) Squad up with friends. Create a party of up to 3 players from the main menu — the leader gets a 6-character party code, friends punch it in to join. The party sticks together across matches: queue as a group into 3v3, land on the same team (opponents fill the other side), and regroup automatically in the party lobby after each match instead of disconnecting. The leader drives: they pick the mode and confirm the queue; members' confirm unlocks once the leader is ready, and if the leader backs out, the whole party returns to the lobby together. Party codes are separate from friend match codes — you can still use a friend code to matchmake against a friend without forming a party. Bots Are Now Bot Sages Bots play the game the way players do. Every bot is now a real sage with a class, a coven, a gamertag-style name, and a working spell kit — all 15 sages have bot kits…
- Coven Update: Enhancements That Actually Fire - 3 August 2026
Enhancements Class Chaos was doing nothing at all, and worse, it was silently cancelling every enhancement queued behind it. Fixed at the source, and a single failing enhancement can no longer take the rest of the round's enhancements down with it. Traitor has never worked. It failed before it could apply, so no enemy was ever turned. It applies properly now. Lightning Death produces visible lightning again. Only the dying player could see the bolt; everybody else saw nothing. Spells and Amulets Spirit Exile affects enemy players again. Bots were taking damage while enemy players were completely untouched. It also no longer does nothing on maps missing their banishment points: the hit still lands even when the banishment cannot. Cursed Earth tiles return to normal when the spell ends. Extra tiles caught in the spread were keeping the red tint for the rest of the round. The Storm amulet…
- Coven Update: Faster Rounds, Smarter Bots - 1 August 2026
Enhancement Selection Fixed a lock that could strand a match on the enhancement screen with the cards visible but doing nothing. If the selection state was cleared while voting was live, the phase died one step before locking in the picks, and every click after that failed silently. Cards can no longer go dead. Clicking a card now resolves the enhancement it is actually showing rather than looking it up by position. Voting no longer waits out the full timer once everyone has picked. When every player has voted, the countdown drops to at most 3 seconds. It only ever shortens, so a vote landing late never stretches the round back out. This applies to the selection before the match and the selection between rounds. A player leaving counts toward that check, so the timer stops waiting on somebody who is already gone. Match Countdown The countdown is snappier. Three, two and one now run at h…
- Coven Update: Enemies With Health Bars and Steadier Saves - 1 August 2026
Enemies and Bots Every enemy in the game now runs on real health instead of a hidden stun counter. Team Bots have 250 health, shown on a health bar, with floating damage numbers on each hit. Bots no longer get flung around by every hit. They absorb the damage and keep fighting, and only drop into the stun animation once health reaches 0, then respawn at full health. Realm Protectors use the same model with 100 health. A protector that survives a hit gets knocked back and keeps coming at you instead of being locked out of its attack every time it is struck. Medusa's Touch still petrifies a protector outright in one hit. Riftwalkers now have 150 health and can finally be put down. Previously, they could only be immobilized, never actually defeated. At 0 health, they hold the downed pose briefly, then despawn. Health bars replicate to everyone in the match, so what you see matches what the…
- Steam Sign In and Progression Fixes 73026 - 31 July 2026
A round of behind-the-scenes fixes to Steam sign-in and how your progress loads. If your name or levels were showing up blank, this is the one. Fixed Steam sign-in failing on launch, which left your player name missing and your levels, ranks, and stats stuck at zero or blank Progression now loads correctly again, including account level, sage levels, challenge progress, and match stats The demo and the Early Access build now sign in against their own Steam apps, so your progress always lands on the right profile Sign in now retries on its own if it hits a hiccup, instead of dropping you into a session where nothing saves Removed a fallback that could quietly put you on a temporary guest profile after a failed sign-in, which meant a match of XP could be recorded to an account you would never see again Failed stat submissions no longer flood the log or retry endlessly, so performance stay…
