• Patch 1.023 - 8 October 2025

  A patch to address a Unity vulnerability.

• Patch 1.022 - 28 May 2025

  Fixed a rare issue where interactables (loot/lore/NPCs) that were close together could be tricky for the player to select. Corrected a typo in Maude's dialogue.

• Patch 1.021 - 12 May 2025

  Fixed an issue where the door and Vlad being close together could cause issues leaving the level when saving Vlad. Fixed a minor missing collider in the butcher's lane level.

• Patch 1.02 - 6 May 2025

  Added a randomise button to the character creation screen. I am the kind of nerd that likes to create each character, but this feature has been suggested by a few people. It makes some pretty cool looking characters, and some others that will haunt my nightmares.

• Fighting tips video in Community videos. - 5 May 2025

  Oswald has some fighting tips for you in the Thrice Cursed community videos area. He has a few helpful pointers to help you get gud. If you want more of this sort of thing about the finer points of the game, ask in the discussions area and I will see what I can do.

• Patch 1.01 - Settings improvements - 30 April 2025

  First patch 1.01 A few people are telling me I should have this and they are right. Added an Invert Y for camera to settings. Added a Camera Sensitivity slider to settings. The settings menu will scroll if it goes beyond the edge of screen. I hope this makes things smoother. This patch is the first of many, tell me if you have any ideas in the Community discussions.

• Demo news - 4 March 2025

  Tomorrow a demo of Thrice Cursed will be releasing. You can try to survive three quests from the beginning of the game. Because of its roguelike nature, deaths and replays will allow you to experience new quests and loot at the whim of the curse bringers. As a solo developer the demo gives a chance for a wider audience to experience the game and with your feedback it will give me a feel for how ready I am for release. This is my first time making a game so community input is crucial.

• Playtest Ending Soon - 28 October 2024

  The Thrice Cursed playtest is nearing the end of this phase. The playtest will close on 11/11/2024. Thanks to all the legendary playtesters and a special thanks to those who provided feedback. Feedback from this round of playtesting has lead to over 50 changes to the game already and more in planning. Playtesters will lose access to the game on the 11th when it closes. I may have another round of playtesting in the future and I believe if you have signed up already you will have access to all future playtests. Patches will continue to roll out over the final two weeks of the playtest as I continue to implement feedback into the game. If you still have feedback to give, please post it in the playtest community forum here.

• Let the Playtest begin - 21 September 2024

  The beta playtest is now playable. Sign up to playtest on the Thrice Cursed store page. There are still limited spaces available. Depending on demand and the feedback I receive I may open up more spaces soon. Don't forget to give feedback in the playtest community hub. Help me make the game better, share your experiences with Thrice Cursed.

• Playtest Coming Soon! - 19 September 2024

  The Thrice Cursed playtest is almost here. The sign-up button is on the store page. This playtest will be the current beta version of the full game (excluding achievements) and will happen soon. This is your chance to dive into the game early and help make it even better. Thrice Cursed offers around 4 hours of gameplay (if you don’t die), but with its roguelike twist, it’ll likely take longer. In exchange for free gameplay, I’m asking for your constructive feedback in the playtest community hub, where I’ll be active, too. How long will the playtest last? That depends on your feedback! Once enough players sign up, I’ll start the playtest and give you access to the beta. It’ll run until I have enough of your great feedback, dear player, to improve the game. I’ll give a few days' notice before it wraps up. The game is still in development, so expect a few rough edges. I’ll patch the beta b…

• Thrice Cursed coming soon. What's the plan? - 12 September 2024

  Welcome all. I am a solo game developer from Australia and Thrice Cursed has been a passion project of mine for around a year now. I have reached the beta stage and am looking to release in the coming months. There is some polish I would like to do and incorporate some wider feedback to improve the game before its release. There comes a point where friends and family testing your game is no longer enough. That is where you come in. I am thinking of using the Play Test feature on Steam to give a limited number of people the opportunity to play the beta and provide feedback in the community area to help me improve the game.
