- New Trailer Has Dropped - 26 August 2026
Even in the scorching heat, Pon has been riding around the town with one mission: helping out the townsfolk and preparing a Brand New Trailer for you to freshen up. Hit play and see what you can spot! Follow in the tracks of a small tanuki as you join him on a day in his hardworking life. To accompany Pon on this journey, join us at Gamescom and try out the Demo: Endless BMX action. Now fully loaded with gnarly tracks, new spicy challenges, and more trick lines than any knees can handle. Quirky local population with their curious little crises. Good luck, and keep in mind: not every problem can be solved with a tailwhip and a package delivery. Shrine decoration i…

We're sorry to those who may be disappointed, and looking forward to playing Pon's adventure soon. Delaying a game is never easy, but we’re confident that some extra development time will be put to good use. In fact, we’ll use this opportunity to share some of the stuff we’ve been working on! We were overwhelmed by the great feedback and warm response to the demo! But, we were inspired to work even harder on features that would improve the experience for all players! Here's a taste of what we've been doing: Navigation improvements - from player-placed tags to a minimap. We hea…
- Between mail delivery, minigames, and BMX tricks, the demo of Tanuki: Pon's Summer feels like it was made specifically for me - 15 October 2025
Sometimes you come across a game that feels like it was made to cater specifically to your interests, and for me, that's Tanuki: Pon's Summer. Just seeing the trailer of this mail-delivering, BMX-riding life sim was enough to convince me to add it to my wishlist. To be honest, the tanuki alone was probably enough. But now, having played its (albeit too brief) demo, I am thrilled that it feels like it'll live up to my expectations... Read more.
- BMX delivery, sumo-wrestling, fishing: Cozy gaming gets a little Crazy Taxi, as a treat, in Tanuki: Pon's Summer - 28 September 2025
Cozy games fill a very valuable niche in my library, but sometimes they leave me unfulfilled. I need to relax, yes, but I also need to shred. A game like Stardew Valley can make me wistful for the simpler things in life, but there's no shredding at all... Read more.

We will be using this milestone excitement to work even harder on the development!. Here’s a little thank you from Pon: WATCH US DISCUSS THE ORIGINS OF TANUKI: PON’S SUMMER Another awesome thing. Like, when it’s raining, it’s pouring, but somehow with great news?? We’ve got our hands on the dev diary that our friends at ASUS ROG filmed and put together for us. The dev diary in question was shot during this summer in Kyoto: By the way, this interview was partly shot at BRIDGE, our favourite bar and sort of an alma mater of Denkiworks Studio, where our ideas had grown from talks to action…

- Pon’s Tips: Basics of BMXXXing - 5 May 2025
Just look at him. A bit embarrassing, huh, Pon? Snacking all morning, chugging sodas, then crashing into a nap on a park bench, smh. Time to burn off those carbs! Is there a better way than busting out some BMX tricks? Maybe. But you didn’t come here for healthy diet advice, right? So let’s start with the basics. \FYI: Pon is a professional athlete, do not try these at home. Video games will do for now~\ THE WHEELIEControls: Left Bumper + Right Bumper Oooookay, let’s get started with fundamentals! Drawing inspiration from the motocross scene, BMXers looove coasting the streets on just the rear wheel. It’s a starting point that gets you to feel the BMX, your body, and balance it all. Having a tail only makes it so much easier. It also helps you keep a long combo going, so better get used to this one early, k? Yep, Pon kinda skipped the whole pedaling stage and went straight to the manual…
- The Tanuki’s Journey: From Cycling to Something Bigger - 24 February 2025
Hey, guys! Welcome to our first devlog! It’s been quite a while since the last announcement, and we’re excited to share how our game is coming together. First things first: let's start at the very beginning. …the Idea. Denkiworks was founded by the three of us: Liam, Arioka, and Jan. We had worked together before and wanted to create something as a team again. The idea started with a simple thought: what if we made a game about cycling through Kyoto? Liam, who biked around the city all the time, wanted to capture that feeling of freedom and movement. At first, it was just about the joy of riding through a city. But we quickly realized we needed a reason for the player to keep cycling — and that’s where deliveries came in. What if Pon wasn’t just aimlessly biking around but actually had a goal? That goal became saving money to restore a shrine, which led to the idea of a Matsuri festival…

- The last thing I expected this cute racoon mailman game to be about was sick BMX tricks - 26 September 2024
Watching an adorable Studio Ghibli-style raccoon throw on his mailman cap during the Tokyo Games Show, I was not expecting his next move to be whipping out a BMX and pulling off some sick tricks. That's exactly what Denkiworks' Tanuki: Pon's Summer gave me though, and you know what? I'm here for it... Read more.
