Hello Baddies! It’s been quite a while since our last update, hasn’t it? Yes, we know you’ve been waiting! We’ll let you know as soon as the next update is ready! 1- The second map! 🗺️ Yes, it’s finally happening! Our brighter and more spacious second map is almost finished. We’re working as quickly as we can to release it, while also making sure it reaches the level of quality we want. We really hope you’ll love the second map as much as we do! 💜 2- A brand-new game mode! ⚔️ This new mode will make it possible to play matches with fewer players. We’ve already developed a prototype and tested it among ourselves, and honestly, we had a lot of fun! Of course, what matters most is whether you enjoy it. I’m not going to reveal exactly how the mode works yet because I don’t want to spoil th…

- Mapocolops played Who Do Voodoo Demo on his YouTube channel! - 13 October 2025
We’re beyond excited to share that Mapocolops played Who Do Voodoo on YouTube! 💜 Watching someone we’ve followed for so long dive into the chaotic world we created was such a surreal moment for our whole team. Seeing the laughter, confusion, and little moments of discovery reminded us why we make games in the first place.Thank you, Mapo, and everyone who joined the stream, for bringing the coven to life. 🧿 We can’t wait to see more players try to survive the magic and madness of Who Do Voodoo.
- Dev Diary #9: Coven and Summonings - 13 October 2025
Who Do Voodoo is a social deduction game at its core, and this side of the experience comes alive during Coven and Summonings. The Coven is the group of all players in a match. Inside the coven, some players are secretly Good and others are secretly Bad. The Good side wants to expose the Bad, while the Bad side is trying to eliminate the Good without revealing their true identity.A Summoning happens when players gather at a ritual point or when a body is reported. During a summoning, the game shifts into a discussion and voting phase. Everyone can speak, share suspicions, defend themselves, or try to push blame onto others. When the timer runs out, the coven must vote, and the choice can completely change the direction of the match. We wanted this part of the game to feel tense but also playful. Sometimes players are dead serious, other times it turns into laughter and chaos. It is the pl…
- Dev Diary #8: The Cards of Who Do Voodoo 🃏 - 11 September 2025
Last time we talked about cards, mana, and crafting. Now let’s look closer at the cards themselves and how they shape the game.Every card belongs to a color group:- Blue Cards: Flexible tools for strategy and survival.- Red Cards: Focused on sabotage, traps, and elimination.- Purple Cards: Cards that can turn everything upside down, sometimes helpful, sometimes just silly. Here is how they are dealt:- Good Voodoos only draw from the Blue and Purple decks. This way their role always feels consistent and never breaks the immersion.- Bad Voodoos draw from all three decks: Blue, Red, and Purple. This gives them the ability to blend in while secretly having access to sabotage and elimination. This setup keeps the mystery alive. At any moment you might see a blue card that looks safe, but there is always the chance that someone is hiding a Red card that can change everything.Next time we will d…
- Dev Diary 7: Cards, Mana, and Crafting - 9 September 2025
When we first added the card mechanic we faced a tricky problem. Players had to move around the map while also playing cards at the right moments. The pace had to feel just right because you should be able to explore the world and still have time to cast your cards. To balance this we created our first crafting system. Crafting not only encourages exploration by sending you around the map to collect items, it also helps keep the number of cards in your hand under control.Instead of putting a simple cooldown on card usage we introduced a mana system. This makes the game feel more immersive since every spell you cast consumes a resource, while also preventing players from spamming powerful cards one after another. All of this has been carefully designed and adjusted during development, but the real feedback will come very soon when you get to try it for yourselves in the demo!
- Dev Diary #6: From 2D to 3D - 23 August 2025
When we first started designing the game, our vision was for everything to be fully 2D. The very first map reflected that idea: it was flat, simple, and quite different from the final version you see today. But as we kept working on it, we realized the overall look and feel of the game did not stand out enough from other titles. The world felt familiar rather than unique. Here are an example from the old 2D style and an alternate version of the map. To break away from that, we experimented with combining a 3D environment with 2D characters. The result surprised us in a good way. We felt the depth of a 3D world while still keeping the charm of 2D alive through the characters. The new ambiance instantly felt richer and more immersive, and as players ourselves, we looked at it and thought, "This is a place I would want to explore in a game." Below you can see the concept art we drew for th…
- Dev Diary #5: Designing the Blueprint of The Whisper Castle - 21 August 2025
When we started working on the map, we looked at how rooms were arranged in old castle blueprints, though we simplified them a lot. We wanted players to feel a natural flow as they walk around while keeping the layout believable. That is why there is a courtyard, the kitchen and pantry are placed to the left of the great hall, and the throne room connects directly to it. The Whisper Castle was inspired by the way real medieval castles were organized. Below, you can see the first sketch of the final version of the map. Do you think it feels like a castle you would want to explore?
