- Episode Three News - 17 September 2026
I want to provide updates on Steam about Going Your Own Way Episode Three every few months and since we're about 6 months past episode two's release, it seems like we're about due. Episode three is essentially fully written (aside from touch ups and additions that occur as images are being produced) and choices are coded. Images are in production and will be for the next several months. My goal is to check in here every few months with another update until episode three is ready. In other news, I have an update for episode two in the works that will fix some spelling/grammar errors that have been found. It's not currently at the top of my priority list though. If you are interested in more frequent updates, I do post free weekly updates elsewhere online. Following social media links on the store page or doing a quick search for Heavenshire Stories and Going Your Own Way should lead you to…
- GYOW Episode Two v 1.2.1 - 6 May 2026
Greetings! While working on Going Your Own Way Episode Three, it was discovered that some (not all) FantastiMatch profile variables were not added into the story. This is not something that testing would have caught because these variables were not being used in episode two. This update adds the missing variables and should be completely transparent to the episode two experience. If you have already played episode two, you may want to replay before episode three if you used FantastiMatch in order to set the variables, but there shouldn't be any need to replay if you don't want to. We will do our best to work around the ones that were missing in episode three and beyond. Episode three is currently in the writing stage. ~HS
- Going Your Own Way Episode Two is now available! - 3 March 2026
Going Your Own Way Episode Two is finally available! Thank you for your patience. It took a few more months than anticipated, but we have finally completed the second leg of this journey and present it to you. Episode Two picks up where Episode One ended. You'll have new adventures, meet new people, and likely have the same sort of comedic and frustrating moments you had in Episode One while journeying deeper into the story. We hope you enjoy it!***If you have played Episode One but not since the 1.02 update in June 2025, please replay Episode One as there were some changes that may cause the game to not properly reflect the choices you made.***
- Going Your Own Way Episode One v 1.03.2 - 2 March 2026
Version 1.03.2 of Going Your Own Way Episode One has been released. This update contains a few minor spelling/grammar errors and a couple fixes to images that were discovered during Episode Two testing. There was also some work done on the backend to prepare for the Episode Two DLC release. None of the changes should affect your previously saved games. If you have not played Episode One since the 1.02 update (released June 2025) and will be playing Episode Two, it is highly advised that you go back and play through Episode One. The 1.02 update contained changes that could misalign previous choices made during Episode One.

- Episode Two News - 5 October 2025
This is probably long overdue, but I thought I would provide an update on the progress being made on Going Your Own Way episode two's production. Work began in March. Ideas and notes for the episode were drafted into an episode script and production of images was started. Image production and rendering scene-by-scene has been the focus since March. Fast forward to October, and I can report that artwork for 23 out of the 31 scenes is completed so there are currently 8 scenes left needing images produced. Why is episode two taking so long? The short answer is that while the number of scenes is roughly the same count as episode one, the episode is bigger. Episode two's story is about 39,000 words. (Episode one was a bit over 24,000 words.) Episode two's current image count (with 8 scenes left to produce) is over 3,750 images. (Episode one was a bit over 2,800 images.) And please be mindful…
- Episode One Update 1.02 - 20 June 2025
I am excited to be able to finally share version 1.02 of Going Your Own Way Episode One. I have been working on this off and on over the last several weeks while continuing work on episode two as detailed in the weekly updates on the Heavenshire Stories Patreon. Episode two is in production, and I am hoping it will be completed before the end of this year. Some fun extras were added to enhance the overall experience – a gallery of sorts and a codex-style collection of people your character has come in contact with. Both additions complement the overall style of Going Your Own Way. Also in this update were some tidbits behind the scenes that will provide a more personalized recounting of events when episode two begins. That is the good news. The bad news is that for the best possible experience, you will want to re-start your game. I apologize for that, and understand any frustration tha…
- Update v0.1.1.01 - 18 March 2025
Just a couple tweaks in this update including some audio balance work and updating images that were not displaying correctly due to sizing issues.
