- Hell Dive - Major Update 1.3.0.0 Now Live - 18 January 2026
Dear Damned Divers! It took time, but we're finally here. Update 1.3.0.0 is a major patch for Hell Dive, bringing new features, a large audio overhaul, general bug fixes and a lot of added polish. It’s been quite the ride. This update went several weeks beyond the original plan, due to extensive testing and iteration on the new audio, systems and design changes to get this update ready to ship. Sometimes development simply needs more time to brew. No matter how much it takes the breath out of you while getting there. In the end it's all worth it. The Teacup team is nailbiting excited to see how you take the new design to heart. "The goal for me with this update, was to subtly increase tention from the start and introduce larger cosmic existential vibes through the audio, especially while the player is truely alone in the Submarine and the colony. With Lambert in Facility 4 to set the lon…
- Eighth Development Log: Shiin Time is Over - 1 December 2025
Greetings Damned Divers,We’re back with our eighth development log, a pivotal point for both the team and me. For a long time, I’ve been up at night, writing down ideas for the alternative ending and everything leading up to it for you to get the best experience. One night, I realized that the game itself was actually screaming for a completely new final ending. This felt like the best way to experience Hell Dive… enjoying and fearing it to the fullest.Together with my Level Designer and Game Designer, we’ve built a chain in the game that leads most of you to a new ending, along with some minor fun puzzles. This new experience gives me goosebumps just thinking about what’s in store.DANGER AHEAD: Prepare for unexpected scares, deeper lore and a new layer of dread in the “new and improved” Hell Dive.As the headline says, inspired by the Japanese word *Shiin, we’re back, and we will come w…

- Sixth Development Log: You Hellish People - 24 April 2025
Dear Damned Divers! Welcome to the Sixth development log for Hell Dive! This one took some time to arrive. You are Making This Hell Fun Watching all of you play Hell Dive has been surreal. From the life-sucking, game-breaking bugs at launch in January to the disappointment some felt with our original Hell ending! That really freaked us out. We had been testing with players and doing soul-wrenching QA pretty much 24/7. And then we hit the market. CRASH and BURN! But now May is arriving. And we are having a game that brings screams, laughter, and small moments of pure chaos. Moments like falling through walls from shaking too hard. Or calmly sneaking after one of our monsters... just to stare at its very well-shaped booty. Or watching those horrific food videos that can never be unseen. (We’re not naming names, but you know who you are, Mister!) Or having this “big gaming” guy casually sa…

Dear Damned Divers! Welcome to out Fourth development log for Hell Dive, where we share our journey and the latest updates with you! A Horrible Ending Seeing all you amazing people enjoying Hell Dive meant a lot to me personally. I loved it! BUT the sheer disappointment with the ending and the empty promises of a deeper lore, really frustrated me and the team. We heard you! In the end, I failed to deliver the unsettling horror experience I set out to create, and that is unacceptable. This is being corrected as we speak.
